You will have many phases of cult withdrawl..your first feelings are to go to the kingdom halls most likeley because of guilt and fear..to combat fear and guilt you need to educate yourself about the JW's and see that they are not 'the truth' but a destructive controlling cult. Then you will likley either examine the bible with new eyes, or find another religion, or join another cult. Unfortunatley, many rebound cult leavers, or former cult members just join another cult, wether its amway, mary kay, mormons or international church of christ. Before you even consider another religion i suggest you study the bible critically and decide for yourself what is truth. After examining the bible critically myself, my personal descision is that it is just a book wirtten by ignorant men. That dosent mean theres nbo mystery left in the universe. I've been delving into psychic stuff also for fun and took up breakdancing. It's fun breaking the laws of physics :)

1. science eventually holds the answers to all the questions of life.. 2. anyone who does not believe rule 1 is not scientific.. 3. any evidence for intelligent design of the universe is not.

scientific evidence.. 4. any person who teaches there is evidence for intelligent design .

of the universe is not a scientist.. 5. scientists know for a fact that matter is all there is.. 6. anything which is not matter does not matter.. 7. religion or religious impulse is the result of undesirable .

You're right, life is so complicated there is no possible way it could have arrisen by chance or simply has always exsisted.

The only explanention then, is that complicated lifeforms where CREATED by an ever MORE complicated lifeform. How did he get there? Well simple dummy, he either happened by chance or simply has always exsisted.

you know, as much as i was horrified and felt sick to the gut by the wtc disaster (i must have watched that plane crash into the wtc about fifty times).

there are other things going on in the world that largely go unreported by comparison but constitute just as much suffering(if not more) as the wtc disaster.. one of the questions i've asked myself is why is the u.s. so hated by certain arab groups.

90% of iraq's suffering is the reuslt of Saddam husein himself, who blames the countries poverty on US sanctions. If they cooperated and allowed weapons inspectors into the country and basically admitted they got their ass kicked the people wouldnt be dying.

from a historical perspective: prior to wwii the people of the middle were fragmented, with a mxiture of nomads who had little thought of the west, and remnants of the old ottoman empire which was an outgrowth of the rise of islam, various kingdoms with undefined territories.

some of this goes back as far as the crusade wars bewteen christians and muslims.

prior to the rise of the usa, before wwi, britain, and other nations were very active in the middle east.

i appreciate the words of another poster who commented that he felt it unwise to post in anger.

i have tried to hold calm and keep my anger in check, but that started to change with my nato posting yesterday.. i am set back over 30 years: i was raised to respect all races, and not to be prejudiced.

i was also raised a proud american, and that it was important not to tolerate bullies.
