  Man..I had this awful terrible nightmare and I hope no vile demons are lurking here and reading my post but here goes:

  My awful dream begins in the brisk air of the swiss alps where I am sitting in a cabin in a jacuzzi with 30 girls from this years and last years Sports Illustrated Swimsuite issue.

  I start to sweat uncofrtably as they strip butt neked and massage me with some exotic indian tiger balm and then the nightmare truly begins as i am fed skinned grapes by a particularly well-endowed beauty.

  
  Then I am taken to a chamber of torture with a soft, heart-shaped bed with a mirror on the ceiling and..well..i cant bear to go on but you get the idea.

  Man oh man..I hope beelzebub and his buddies didnt read this

  Just got Home/Elder Dad just realized I'm Apostate

  well, just got back from a big talk with my parents.

  i finally let them in on the fact that i question the society.

  (dad is an elder and mother has been in it for 67 years since birth.

  Mr moe Im touched, did this site have a big part in waking you up? If it did that's great. I went thru hell (Hades, Sheol, Gehenna) when i told my parents. They read some of the literature I had collected off the net and they agreed there were good points made, just as your dad did, but also like your dad, they said 'they are just human' And as has been said many times, if they are just human, why is it wrong to question them??

  I was kicked out (I was 18) and I lived in my car for a while, eventually a JW friend (true friend, he stayed my friend when noone else would) let me live with him till i got back on my feet. I went to college for 2 years and now I live in a nice apartment with my norweigan girlfriend (there are alot of norweigans up in dis board)

  Im amazed you did it in 2 weeks, took me about a year of apostate reading to wake me up. Even when confronted with the fact the society was an italian sandwich meat, I was like 'Theres no other religion quite as true' or 'Its still the best moral way to live'

  Welcome aboard, i hope things go well for you. I agree that your dad was purple because he also had many doubts and did feel guilty about condemning a repentant brother

  "Present Understanding"

  for those of you that have been away from the borg for a while, there is a new catch phrase that has been popping up in the meetings, assembly talks, co's talks, etc.

  it seems to me that i started hearing this term shortly after the "generation" explanation fiasco.. of course, i am referring to the term, "present understanding" or "current understanding.".

  i always thought it was amusing, even when i was believing the bs, but now i find it puzzling that so many are gullible to this new phrase.

  Ex-JW atheists

  i know there are lots of atheists on the board, so i'm curious what attracted you to becoming a jw in the beginning.

  personally, i feel a bond with all ex-jws (and to those of you doubting) since we have gone through the same things.

  so my question is not being sarastic, but i'm curious as to why you are where you are.

  Pregnant JW murdered, child cut out from belly

  i was reading about this in the mirror-universe db greatcrowd.com (there is a mirror universe bboyneko there complete with goatee and a mirror universe fredhall who is an intelligent dog and a mirror univrse dunscott who is dumb as a doornail, e.g: concering duuuuuuuuuh).

  apparantly a pregnant jw lady had met another pregnant woman from her same neighborhood and they chatted a bit, later the jw family put up a car for sale and the pregnant neighbor came down to check it out.

  then she got the jw to her house and killed her, and cut out her baby.

  Something that I appreciated from the Awake article was her father saying that he prayed for Jehovah to watch over Teresa while they went on vacation. Then after all this happened, he at first questioned why Jehovah allowed something like that to happen. Why didn't he answer his prayer.   makes me wanna puke. By this reasoning, the murderer did a good deed, because by killing the JW when she was very spiritual she guaranteed her a place in paradise. Cus what if she was allowed to live and ended up commiting a great sin like reading crisis of conscience? Then she wouldnt be ressurected.

  I pray to Jehovah that he would sustain all Teresa's family.

  He didnt lift a finger to stop her from being kilt did he? why pray for the family?

  Then they start talking about what it will be like in the new system:

  To be able to look around and see no one but those who love and serve Jehovah... what a wonderful thought! Who cares what kind of food we will have! That we may not have AC...(didn't we used to live without it?) and not to have to take my meds everyday!!!

  And do you think if any are around who may have a complaining spirit start complaining, that Jehovah will allow it to continue? I have a feeling it will be nipped in the bud.

  Not to depress anyone but "The Second Death" is real. So, apparently, even into the new system, one must continue to "keep your eyes on the prize." Its not over, until Jehovah destroys Satan forever.

  Also there was speculation apparantly brought up by a CO talk that the ones that would rebel after 1,000 years of Paradise would not be the survivors of armagedon as they would be far too appreciative of what they have. Instead the rebels would be the ones born during the 1,000 years. Weird.

  Recently, we've had a great deal of counsel from the FDS about not having a complaining spirit and the importance of obedience to Jehovah. Hopefully, doing our best to apply this wonderful counself will stick with us for years to come.

  Heheh wonderful counsel indeed. More like threats and damage control.

  But anyway, I remmeber that beneath the brainwashing, as has been stated here before, is some very human, very beautiful people who have sadly been misled.

  Lastly, I remember a speaker once who was concluding his talk by trying to relate why he chose the song "Jehovah's Pretty Things" to start the meeting. He started to cry. He apologized amidst his sobs to choke out that he had just lost his wife in death. He couldn't go on and exited the stage. The audience must have applauded for a full minute. I followed him into the restroom, hugged him and told him I thought he was wonderful to show his emotions. It was memorable.
