I'm trying to get this published in local news pa
by D wiltshire inwhy jehovahs witnesses keep knocking on your door.
jehovahs witnesses keep coming to your door because they dont want you to be destroyed at armageddon.. all members believe they belong to the only true religion and every religion except theirs is from the devil, and that god will destroy everyone for not being a jehovahs witness at armageddon.
if they stop preaching they are told they too will perish because they didnt warn their neighbor, and will be held blood guilty for their deaths at armageddon.. they have been conditioned to have great faith in the watchtower and to let the watchtower control their life and their thinking, to them this is a matter of life, or eternal death.

Artists are notoriously rperessed by religious organizations. It's been a historical thing, ever since artists were mainly commisioned by the church to paint religious scenes. Usually the artists were hiding things such as homosexuality or they really would rather paint other things.
The JW artists may be suffering from the same repression and so possibly hid images in their art as a sort of way to 'sign' them since they aren't allowed to take credit for it. Artists are weird people, you never know. The same thing happened with disney animators.

It reeks of biasness (if that's a word) The article loses interest to a casual reader because it is so venemous towards JW's, the author obviously (and understandably) harbor bitterness and resentment to the JW. A batter article worthy of publication could accomplish the same things without being so obvious, instead hit the reader with metaphors and give a wider picture of the story. Or at least try to be unbiased.
It's like me submitting an article about how MCI is a souless, vile corporation that cares nothing for its workers and forces them to work unpaid overtime and wont let them make personal calls for any reason and they are only out to get your money. Reading such an article youd know right away that the authot got screwed by MCI and is biased against them and so taints his or her words to try to make the reader side with him or her against MCI.It just dosen't make for good journalism. It comes out as venting. Just my honest opinion.

Dateline Update
by silentlambs inon sunday night i wrote the dateline update, since that time several questions have been raised regarding the dateline story.
i will not be able to answer all questions raised or try to defend the basis of the statements made in the dateline update.
i can say that we are getting very close to an airdate, so close i can taste it.

Only Got 12 Months To Live
by mysteriouslady ini've only got 12 months to live unless i make 100,000 ($142,000) in the next 12 months.. do you sincerely want to be wealthier than you are at present?.
you have been sentenced to death.
your execution will take place one year from today - unless you earn 100,000 in the next 12 months.

Sounds like typical motivational sales mumbo jumbo given by clueless managers to their underpaid staff.

If You Can't Accept Blood Then Surely......
by Englishman inif i believed that it was wrong to have a blood transfusion, then i would also believe that it was wrong to ingest any human blood fractions at all.
picking and choosing what bit of blood is ok and what isnt, is not going along with the principle of the whole thing at all.
it's just dodging the issue imo.. if i believed it was wrong to have a blood transfusion, common sense would tell me it was also wrong to have an organ transplant.

The Bible clearly (debatably) considers taking a blood transfusion to be a sin
That is one of the things the bible is MOST unclear on next to what bathroom transvestites should use.

Would you let your kids bf/gf sleep-over?
by Abaddon inat what age would you be happy with your kid's boyfriend and girlfriend 'sleeping over'?.
would the rules be different for boys vs. girls?.
personally, i think given a choice between 'it' happening anyway god-knows-where and giving a suitably mature kid some privacy, i go for the privacy option.. what do you think?
-
bboyneko
yes but what about like say, 4 or 5 girls at the same time for a 'massive sleepover'?

Why love God?
by joelbear inshould we love god and have faith in him because we are afraid of being annihilated if we don't?.
should we love god so we can be paid for it by getting a "mansion in the sky" or everlasting life or some other reward payment?

I do not fear him.
What will God do to you if you disobey his word or stop beleiving in him though, aren't you scared of what he will to do you then? Or you just prefer not to think about it.
