$5 a gallon? Wow. Around here O.J. is always on sale. I used to think the same way about organic foods-they're too expensive, we can't fit them in the budget-but when you realize the health benefits you'll find a way to do it, and you'll realize that you're worth it.

You are aware that the aspartame-story is a hoax?
Do you have proof, or a link to an article?

No part of this world?
by gringojj ini understand that the wts has investments, stocks, real esate, mortgage company, car sales, finance company, publishing company, and i am sure they have other interest that i dont know about.
how can they say they are no part of this world?
they make a big deal that they dont vote in elections, but isnt having all these investments in business just as bad?

I've always wondered how you can claim to be no part of the world , and claim to not support governments while at the same time you are paying the salaries of elected officials through your tax dollars. "Pay caesars things to caesar" is crap. I'm not giving someone my money without telling them what I think they should do with it.

Looks like they are guilty on all counts.I've always been curious, does anyone know if any of the members of the GB are black? I've asked a few JW's and no one seems to know.

Here's my 2 cents. I believe there is a God,or Supreme Being. I don't think he/she cares what name we use when talking to him/her. Like others have said I consider myself a spiritual person. I think all religions are basically the same with a few minor differences here and there.

I don't think MJ molested those kids either. He's guilty of having very poor judgement, and he should have learned his lesson after the first time. He obviously has some mental problems. That's what I thought when I watched that TV special last year. I couldn't believe that he was still sharing his bed with children, and admitting it on worldwide TV.
You also have to wonder about the parents of these kids. What kind of parent would let their young child spend the night alone with a grown man?

PROVE That Jehovah's Witnesses DON'T Have The Truth
by minimus injws are convinced they alone have the truth.
they are scripturally trained to prove to others why they are "in the truth".
from your vantage point, how can you show this is untrue??

4. The true religion remains untainted by worldly politics and conflicts. It is neutral in time of war.?John 18:36; James 1:27.
6. The true religion does not condone war or personal violence.?Micah 4:2-4; Romans 12:17-21; Colossians 3:12-14.
Those two points seem to contradict themselves (like so many of the JW's teachings). IMO, not speaking out against war is condoning it. My sister, who was recently baptized told me that a recent public talk was about how Christendom isn't doing anything to stop the war in Iraq. I could only laugh because of course the dubs aren't doing anything to stop it either.

Memorial Season
by moomanchu ini was wondering if someone ever made up a tract or card similar to what the witnesses hand out.
for the memorial , but with the opposite agenda , maybe with some thought provoking questions or scriptures .. like : why do you celebrate the memorial christ is already present since 1914 .

Eyebrow2, I know that JW's aren't the only one that symbolically eat Jesus's flesh and drink his blood, that's why I said "Christianity". I'm not trying to be nasty, forgive me if it comes off that way. JW's try to distance themselves from "Christendom", but many of their practices are very similar to the religions that they condemn. Human sacrifice, the drinking of blood, and eating of flesh, were "pagan" practices that were done long before Jesus and Christianity came into existence.
