  Christianity the biggest scam ever!!!

  reading a number of posts here it seems like a fair amount of posters are still into and pushing the christian philosophy.

  i would like to start a discussion here that objectively examines the evidence and not base a belief on "blind faith".

  after leaving the jdubs, i have read a number of books over the past few years.

  Awesome topic!

  Cristianity is soooooooo embeded into our culture and belief system. EG: Even if you don't believe in God any your child asks you where someone goes at death usually people automatically say there with the angels, its an easy answer!

  I just walk through life thinking I will find out what it's all about when I die, until then I'm gonna have fun! And you don't need a God or religious belief system to live life, treat people with respect and you shall prevail.

  I have no need to know why were here, nor do I care, were just here so drink some beer!

  i remember reading a long time ago that the original canadian wt headquarters was in winnipeg on donald street.

  actually, i wouldn't be surprised if the building is still there.

  anyone have more info on this?

  Remember Dateline??

  i'm trying to get some comments that active jehovah's witnesses may have heard after dateline aired back on may 28, 2002.

  do you remember any comments made about the dateline program either made from the platform at the kingdom hall, or in private conversations with other jw's?

  how were the people who where on dateline viewed in your area, especially at the kingdom hall or by other jws?

  I watched it with my JW sister who is still a JW and an abuse survivor by an elder, it upsets her and still is confused as to what and why it happened. Confused as well as to why nothing was reported!

  this was me the last time i got to go...sheesh i stayed loaded for 6 days in a row...slept on st charles waiting for the parades..*lol* i wished i hadn't lost all those images.

  why mardi gras is better than other holidays.. on thanksgiving you watch a parade and eat turkey.. at mardi gras you watch parades and eat popeye's fried chicken.. on halloween little kids dress up in costume and beg for treats.. at mardi gras everyone dresses up in costume and begs for treats.. on easter you hunt for colored eggs.. at mardi gras you hunt for a restroom.. on valentines you give the ladies candy and hope for a kiss.. at mardi gras you give the ladies beads and hope for more.. on st. patrick's day you drink green beer.. at mardi gras you turn green from your first meal of the day, a lucky dog with everything on it at 7am.. on the 4th of july we watch fireworks and drink beer.. at mardi gras we watch fireworks and drink hurricanes.. on new year's day we party like there is no tomorrow and make resolutions.. at mardi gras we party for days and days and ask for absolution.. on labor day you are reminded to be grateful for your job.. at mardi gras the last thing you can remember is your job.. on your birthday you eat cake and remember you are a year older :-(.
