I was introduced to CoC by a now dear friend. I have to admit listening to him explain things initially, I felt for sure that the phone would explode in my ear or we'd be cutoff or something. Then as the days drew closer when I'd recieve it I was very anxious. I remember holding it and thinking I'd be electrocuted or have a stroke...you know something that left me alive enough for the elders to use my dying butt as an example against apostasy! How INCREDIBLY stupid I feel to this day about that stuff!
Atleast I've seen the light!

Vodka anyone???
by Sassy in1. to remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka.
the solvent dissolves adhesive.
2. to clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set five minutes and wash clean.

How can you tell if you are really loved?
by kls inreally what do you look for to know that your husband, wife, girlfriend or what ever the relationship might be that they do love you?
how can you tell it is love or just a matter of convenience ?
those that have had many relationships may be able to answer because i really don't know if i know the difference.

I've been in many, MANY meaningless relationships and have truly only been in love twice in my life. The difference was when I felt the other person truly supported, appreciated, was patient with, compassionate, passionate, willing to work at all the big and small things and was willing to try and understand me. And he really got that I was ready, willing and able to be all of those things for him.
At the core, I guess it was when I could allow myself to let my guard completely down and finally feel completely vulnerable. At the same time I realized that he would not exploit that because he loved me and understood how hard it was for me to break down those barriers. Hmmmm, hope that made sense. That's what love felt like for me....

Pretty deep statment.
It was a dream of mine... a dream that there is a woman who actually sees the good in me. Who doesn't judge... doesn't bring her own personal baggage when looking at me. A woman who doesn't bring along her own personal judge and jury.
My question is this: are you willing to go into a relationship looking for the good and past her baggage and hurt?
Just something I've been reading lately helped me to see that I've got to be willing to work past the negatives that initially jump out in order to get deep down into the positives.
Anyway...thanks for sharing...that's a pretty profound statement. (here's to hoping it wasn't a line...)

according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.
can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.
