i was at dave and buster's tonight, a kind of grown up video arcade / bar / restaurant in the us of a and i saw a bugger, richie [edit], tonight.

What a horrible religion, to so emasculate a man that he cannot look after his little sister.

This is the same religion that forces parents to choose between their teenage children and their religion. I went through it with my parents and was able to get through it and deal with it, but when the same thing happened to my little sister I said "Enough of that". I don't know how a parent can deal with themselves after kicking their teenage child out on the street. It's sad, and sick. I'd rather know where my child is, and give them a house to live in and disapprove of their actions, then put them in a situation where they feel that their only choice is to leave the house where who knows if they have somewhere to live, or food to eat. It really is a sick org. that can turn brother on sister, and parent on child and then be proud about it because they're doing it for "the truth". Bull shit! They're doing it for show, that's all. Of course they put a totally different, demented spin on it to make it a good thing. That's even sicker.

i got up and looked out the window to see a street cleaner cleaning the parking lot at the church.

Didn't the ark come to rest in the mountains? It seems fairly flat where they are. How many animals died while in the ark leaving only one of the species? I don't see any single animals that would be now extinct, only ones that are still around so there must be a mate somewhere around. I also don't see any of them mating. You'd think after being stuck in the ark over a year they'd be feeling a little frisky! Heck, some dogs can't last an hour without humping something! Why are their clothes so clean? They've been shovelling crap for the past year without running water and the bible doesn't mention them bringing a sewing machine into the ark to make new clothes.

8 years later we get along ok. I moved to another province to get some needed space. They moved here 2 years ago and I wasn't sure how it would be at first, but it's fine. I was reinstated a year after I was DF'd because of the guilt trips my parents put on me, but was never into it. I stopped going to meetings altogether a year ago and shortly after my mom approached me about it and asked why. She immediately thought that I had been talking to my uncle and aunt about JW's, like I can't think independantly. Then, she went and talked to my wife (who still is active in the org.), wondering if I'm leaving the org because I'm addicted to porn??? Here's logic for you, "He's thinking for himself, it's gotta be porn!!!" HA. Oh well. Me and my mags get along fine with my parents now!

I remember one summer when it happened 4 weeks in a row! It was great because they just sent us on our way an hour early! No-one really cared that much since there was only 18 people who showed up out of a cong of 95 slaves. The last time I remember it happening the person who gave the talk the last Sunday was asked to do the talk over again. I slept again.

As I had stopped going to meetings and had previously been cought associating with the forbidden ones, I was being watched. My parents were happy to assist the elders as they were concerned for my well-being. Being only 17 I hadn't yet developed the courage to tell everyone to take off, or to just take off myself. Now there was a certain house in the area that was a JW kid party house. I had never been to the house. One youngster had a nagging concience about all these young dubs doing drugs, drinking having sex and so on at this house and reported it to the elders. Once this came out, the JW grapevine started and heads had to roll! In my hall alone there were 6 kids involved in this, all elders kids. I wasn't an elders kid. The head that rolled was mine, here's how it went. One afternoon I was at home with my roommate watching TV and there was a knock at the door. To our surprise at the door were the 2 elders that had chased us in their car only a few month prior causing us to crash into a pole. They invited themselves in to discuss things with us. They discussed their concerns that we weren't going to meetings and in regards to our association. Then they brought out the physical evidence. An ashtray with cigarette butts in it, lighters, forbidden CD's, concert ticket stubs, empty and full bottles of alcohol and a book of different things I had written down. My loving parents had given them access to my apartment to conduct a search for forbidden items. My friend and I could not believe what they had done! We had a reason for everything, but it didn't make much difference. I was sent infront of a JC and disfellowshipped for "Loose Conduct" which as I understand it, means "We couldn't get you on anything, so we'll say you have an attitude that sucks". I appealed, and the appeal committee met and read the minutes from my JC meeting. They were so far off! I objected to the notes and how they were inaccurate but to no avail, the decision was upheld. After the announcement the grapevine got going again. Everyone was so impressed with the elders for taking swift action against me for using drugs, drinking and having sex at the party house. If only they knew. BAAA, Here's me the sacrificial lamb! Or would that be a sacrificial goat???
