There was, but of course copyright laws got in the way, and the site's hosting company refused to host for them any longer.

The CO asked for more contributions

it looks like the wt is running out of money fast.

few weeks ago we had the co visit and he told us in the ms and elders meeting that he had never seen a letter from the gb like this one, but then he went ahead and read it.

the letter basically said: "the contributions are down and there is more people in the congregation.

Perhaps since the price of gas is so high, and the BS isn't being cancelled until the new year, that when the new year comes and people aren't spending that extra money to get to the BS maybe then you'll start getting more money again. If they wanted more money they should have cancelled the BS immediately.

It must kill them to do this. Do you realize how much control they give up by having this available? Now someone can get this info WITHOUT EVER seeing a JW. That means no bi-weekly guilt trip for those who aren't regular meeting attenders. Awesome! Not to mention the downloads are available to "apostates", including the study issues. Wow!

he refutes the information about russell being a adulterer.

I'm almost sure you are thinking about Rutherford, not Russell. Russell created the WTS, it was his (or his daddy's) money that got it going for the most part. As for him being an adulterer ... most of what I've read pointed to him being A-sexual.

i feel i drink too much and it concerns me sometimes.

i'm not an alcoholic (isn't that what an alcoholic would say?

) and i never drink in large quantities but if i don't have a glass of wine or a good real ale in my hand of an evening i feel disappointed.

Actually the gay adverts were on the main index with before any mention of the word gay. But I can see where this thread is going, and to be honest, the self-styled open mindedness and moral pureness of some posters is putting me off discussing it any further.

AKA ... I'm a bigot, and know I'm going to get flamed for this and therefore am taking the (IMO) "moral high-road" by refusing to discuss this further with you heathens.

You know what? While we're at it we should kick all the gay posters off too. They might offend some. Then there's those who are having sex outside of marriage. Let's kick them off too, those deviants. And why stop there? Anyone who goes to a church, or worse ... doesn't believe in god at all ... kick them off too.

Short of elders/MS why the silly microphone policy

ok - in our circuit anyway loads of brothers who get less than the national average hours can not do microphones etc.

now if you are short of elders it makes zero sense.

why not let every brother who is a regular publisher do mics/platform/literature/mags etc?.

I always remember it being closer to 10-11.
