  well, i guess i work bass-ackwards sometimes.

  i started posting on here about a year ago when i was moved by some threads.

  i even helped to organize a local apostafest last may through the forum, but have never formally introduced myself.

  New England Apostafest

  last year on memorial day a group of about 14 east coast ex-jw's met together in providence ri.

  i had the pleasure of being able to have most of them back to our apartment for dessert, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting local people with a similar background.

  i was able to meet zev, somebody, red horse woman, scumrat, sister act, doc bob & his wife, as well as others whom i can't remember their online names.. this year, i would like to get another group together on memorial day again, and hopefully we'll get even more of a response this year.

  i just wanted to share a quick experience that happened to me on our way home to providence ri from iowa.

  we had stopped at a mcd's in connecticut for me ("tiny tanks") to go potty.

  as i was returning to the car, 2 different older gentlemen approached me with the magazines.

  get-together in Rhode Island

  i am an ex-jw who lives in providence ri.

  i have only been here since january, and am looking forward to meeting some other ex's in the area.

  i have been in contact with a few others already, and we are talking about the possibility of an informal get-together around memorial day week.
