I wasn't the elder's kid, but my best friend was. He had the idea that we should go shoot pool at a strip club. I was kind of freaked out, and asked: What if an elder saw us? His response was that the elder would be in more trouble than we would if he were there.

Good point, so I went with him. Very educational at the time!

can any one give me information on the numbers quoted below, in respect to them being inaccurate, correct, or what the number is more like, when you add in jw's that aren't elders, where it seems like they fail to mention here.

it almost seems they try and minimalize the the amount of abuse by only speaking of the elders here.

I am a big supporter of both Descarte and Nietzsche. A discussion would be interesting! Unlike some of the "logic" proposals! Excuse me, but I like to think! Does "logic" prevent that?

The first proposal that I would like to share is the complete question that Descarte raised:

PHIL 101,

First of all, never listen to anyone that insists on typing in bold.

Second of all, believe in yourself! It is okay to think for yourself for a change. You do not have to listen to any one's dogma. That is the great thing about philosophy. Even if the Professor has his or her opinion, it really doesn't matter. It is the beauty of thinking for yourself!

Say a freaking amen to that, Lord Hallelujah! Or whatever you believe in or not! I really do not care, or neither should you! Enjoy the freedom.

Toastmasters... again?

i know, not the most exciting topic, but.... as most of you know i have been speaking at many of my book signings and am working to increase my speaking career.. the toastmasters international competition has been going on for a month or two.. i have won the club, area and division contests and i go on to the district competition in spokane, washington on the 19th.

this is really a great joy for me and the higher i get in the competitions the more recognition i get from speaker bureaus (agents for speakers).. help me with some positive thoughts as i compete in the next two competitions.

if i can get through those, i'll get to the big one!
