I knew of Pioneer sisters in Florida who would go to the beach and work on their tans. On the corner of their beach towel they would put some of the magazines, and if someone asked about them they would give them some. They counted the entire time at the beach as service time.

Just curious, you say you have two years of college without a degree. What in, and how much more would it take to get a degree in something? JK

as i was driving home from work tonight i was feeling uneasy which was unusual for me and then it occured to me that it was a close friends death anniversary(13-06-93), reflecting on my way home i thought of the good times that we had(i had known this person since i was 7 till he died at 16) and for the first time in many years this year i have felt at ease with this as the previous years i have always been a mess.. i still think of others who have died over the years but think of the positive and no longer feel the sad pain anymore.
have i moved on?.
so i ask how long does it take to actually get over the pain and hurt from loved ones dieing?.
I believe that there is no set amount of time. It is a process unique to each individual and the closeness of the relationship.
I still get a little misty about lost friends and loved ones as I think of them. I also grieve about friends that are still in the Org that I cannot associate with. One day at a time . . .

just curious if any other xjw's carry concealed weapons on a regular basis ?
because of my work (job that pays the bills) and my business (will pay the bills somday) i got into the habit shortly after leaving the dubs.
now i am a solid supporter of a law abiding, qualified citizen's right to legally carry.
The rounds that I pack are usually Remington or Winchester hollow points. I have a friend that is a Detective, and I get free range time with him. I usually use Winchester FMJ's for practice to save money.

BTW, I have a Fobus clip-on holster that I attach to the back of my jeans for those "pesky moments." Usually keep the clip in my pocklet for rapid insertion.
