  my mom called to tell me that my cousin made ms and how happy everyone is.

  we got to talking about how the elders think they are led by holy spirit and crap like that.

  it damn near killed me not to say anything but my cousin is a double lifer.

  at least mine don't anyway.. ive been thinking of there behaviour towards me for the last few weeks, and im just so over them being my parents.

  when mike and i went to the hosp on wed night after my nan had passed away, i tried to comfort my mum, she hardly wanted me to touch her.

  i didnt even look at my dad for the first half n hour we were there.

  Sorry, I meant to say hospital.

  I am glad that you will be getting support from the other side of the family. The JW service is a tough one to sit through, as it is basically a recruitment drive. Very little is said about the deceased.

  i just heard that a person i knew who was one of jw's committed suicide.

  her name was sharon scarpelli.

  she lived in michigan, pennsylvania and south dakota.

  Who is GUILTY for the JW's killed in the concentration camps?

  obviously the nazi's hold bloodguilt in part for the jw's who died in the concentration camps.. but unlike jews who could not change who they were, could not become un-jew and would have been killed anyways, jw's were often offered release if they renounced their faith as a jw.. since it is obviously a false teaching they were led to believe - that their eternal salvation rested on being & staying a jw - does the governing body (leadership) hold some bloodguilt, are they accountable in some way, for the atrocities that fell upon jw's?.

  or is it merely a principle thing - that no matter what religion/belief was held, one should not be asked to give it up at the whim of a dictator?.

  does the individual jw hold any fault based on whether they refused to sign over principle of freedom of belief or whether it was fear of losing their salvation by leaving a certain denomination?.

  just out on dvd, "the lives of others" subtitled german.

  a fact based story of big brother in east germany under the soviet secret police, the stasi.

  chilling to realize it is all based on fact.

  When they joined the UN - They lied. They either lied to the UN and said that they would promote them favorably, or lied to all JW's by going back on their 1963 resolution denouncing the UN.

  They had to lie one way or the other.
