  Do you realize how important your last posts are to this thread, not so much as what you said, but when you said it?

  This thread almost died in its childbirth. Posts on the board sink into oblivion so fast, being replaced at enormous speed, the current page can disappear in ten, fifteen minutes. So then, Ozzie, from the other side of the world, his daylight, our night and Bryan, late nite-owl, helped this thread to make it through the night.

  To all you others who are following this thread, and those who have taken their time to encourage and thank Barbara, please continue to read and comment.

  I believe that the greatest encouragement we can bestow on Barbara, is to continue to see that the information of these legal settlements are published to the ends of the earth.

  History is being made here. Do not despise or belittle the day of small things.

  The Watchtower, ever since the legal victories in the Hayden Covington days, have bragged incessantly as to how JW legal has established freedom of religion in the US.

  Well, things have gone full circle,

  The abhorrant use of clergy/penitent privilege to hide crimes has been broken.

  Do you realize the significance of Barbara's comments: That the distribution of the CD of the court documents has tapered off, but that many requests for copies are coming from legal entities.

  Keep the subject of Barbara's work alive, help it make it through the night.

  i was watching the youtube video on the nbc piece about pedophiles and saw a comment about a new oral sex study article that was supposedly quite graphic.

  i was curious if anyone had this?!

  or knew what date it was...i might be able to sneak a peek the next time i visit my mother.

  I too would like a link to the NBC youtube about oral sex.

  A well known ex-jay that I know, told me that he travelled to Europe with his sister who is a Jehovah's Witness (spelled out in full and emboldened intended) for a family event.

  He said that his sister, out of the blue, brought up the recent Watchtower study article discussing oral sex. She was quite vehement against the article and said to the effect, that it took all her joy out of sex.

  2. major organizational changes about to start rolling out, one is changes to the "service committee" and titles, po to be done away with, thats all i know for now.

  was told that if you are the sort of person that cant handle changes, you wont stay in the org for long.

  you’ve opened the box and resurrected Harry Peloyan, well at least a photo.
  I don’t know what he looks like, is that really him?

  But as a confirmed follower of the Gospel of Thomas, unless I hear of someone telling him a joke and seeing some laughter out of his mouth, I am not totally converted.

  That is only two months ago. So we have the evidence of a photo that shows he is still alive. Can someone who knows him to confirm that this is his picture?

  Are the young people in the photo his grand children?

  Is Harry Peloyan still in Bethel?

  Why is it important to know whether Peloyan is alive?

  It is because Barbara has identified him, not as a hardliner, but as a moderating influence advocating for change of WT policies on pedophilia within their ranks. By identifying his position publicly, the hardliners, if they have any sense, should be very wary of messing with his stance.

  Now if anyone wishes information, JR Brown can be by-passed for a more honest spokesman on the question of child abuse.

  well, the guy hasn't contributed to awake for some years, but from what i understand, he died recently, and his wife too!

  he had been in charge of awake!

  For what it's worth today, here are the names of those who were sympathetic and tried to change from within the child abuse policies.

  Harry Peloyan, who I don't believe is deceased even though someone stated on the web he was.
  Ciro Aulicino, still at Bethel
  Lloyd Barry, deadJack Barr, GB member. A lovely man but...
  Lyman Swingle, deadMike St Jean, left Bethel after the humiliation of being demoted for assisting victims over the phone.
  Ricki Hutson, as of 2004, still at Bethel
  Lee Waters, dead
  Dan Black, left Bethel. I heard he was paid to come to work daily from wherever he lived.
  Dan Sydlik, deadJudah Ben Shroeder, left Bethel and attends university in NYC.

  J. R. Brown and James Pellechia were once very, very sympathetic, but decided to stay neutral so they could further their careers at headquarters.

  Peloyan must be like Shrodinger's cat, in suspended animation, neither alive nor dead.

  Thanks for letting us know that Harry Peloyan may yet be alive.

  Thanks too, for giving us a big bonus and listing others that have a merciful attitude.

  Some may think, with this list, you have given them a kiss of death.

  No, I maintain that you have written them in a list of life.

  Now, if the "heavies" try to demote them to menial task or boot them out, it will stir up a hornets nest.

  Now when others, who may have kept their feelings to themselves, see that they are not alone with their thinking and feelings they may realize that there are approachable people with whom they can open up a dialogue on the subject.

  i am baptised and wish to write a letter to the brooklyn branch requesting a response to two belief-related issues regarding which i have recently educated myself.

  the reply to this letter will likely play a large part in my determining how the rest of my life is lived.

  I forgot to mention that Leoleia has a lengthy post on the faithful and discreet slave.

  She shows that Joseph in Egypt was a faithful and discreet slave, and Jesus was making a reference to him by using that term.

  Just as Joseph was unreconizable to his brothers, so Jesus asked a question and it forever remains a question. Who the faithful slave is not readily discernable, especially when some one claims they are.

  I am glad to see another searching person looking for answers.
