Here's a great site that uses the Watchtower's own articles to show how they contradict themselves and to show their teachings on just about every subject. This is one of my favorite sites.

They talk about oral sex in the wt? ? Why? ? What business is it of theres? ? and what is wrong with it ? ? is it unbiblical or something? ? cant say ive come across that scripture!
I remember the "brother" I was studying with told me that oral sex was wrong. I thought that was kinda weird. Why would God care if I had oral sex?
As far as where it says it in the Watchtower, we'll need Blondie on this one.

Lots of mountain biking and I'm working on getting a road bike. Funny, it was a witness freind back in the day is the one that got me interested in it. Now that I'm out I usally go every Sunday morning. I would much rather be out in God's creation than sitting in a man made building. You can check out my adventures in biking on my website if you like: http://singletrack.wirefire.com/

A Degree....... I can't do this.... HELP!!!
by ScoobySnax inhaving had my 1-2-1 with my boss yesterday on my performance in managing an acute surgical ward, she informs me that she expects me to commence a course in critical care at degree level commencing september.
the reason being our surgical ward is being converted into a high dependancy unit (like an itu) and she wants me to manage it and gain the necessary skills.
i already have a diploma in higher ed.

You can do it Scooby. My wife is a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit here. She is currently working on her Master's in Nursing Science degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. Then she will probably get an Education Degree so she can teach nursing. She works full time (3 - 12 hour night shifts) and drives 2-1/2 hours one way for class one day a week. She loves school and is very dedicated. It gets hard sometimes, but it's well worth it. I help out by typing all of her papers for her and do any of the computer work involved. Once you start taking classes it will all come back to you and you will love it. Have fun and good luck.
I working as an Engineering Technician and have a Drafting degree. Anytime my company wants me to get additional training on new software I jump at the opportunity. Any education is a great thing and it looks great on a resume' if needed.

JW's say they don't have a clergy class, whay do you think?..
by Hecklerboy ini remember back 8 years ago when i left the organization the elders were being called "jehovah's special appointed ones".
i thought to myself that this was starting to become a clergy class.
i mean if that doesn't set you about the rest of the flock, i don't know what does.

I remember back 8 years ago when I left the organization the elders were being called "Jehovah's special appointed ones". At least I think that's what it was. I thought to myself that this was starting to become a clergy class. I mean if that doesn't set you about the rest of the flock, I don't know what does. Then that got me thinking about all the positions like DO, CO, Edler, MS, Pioneer, Aux. Pioneer. All having a certain prestige to them. The more I think about it now, the more I'm convince that they definetly have a clergy class. What other evidence can you think of that proves they do indeed have a clergy class?

When did you notice the yearly pattern of JW life?
by truthseeker inhow long was it before you became aware that your activities as a jw were the same this year as last year?.
discounting the regular "5 meetings a week" and "saturday field service", let's look at the average year in a jw's life, beginning with the september service year... september.
if you haven't been to your district convention you will this month.

Good lord, just reading that yearly list makes me sick. I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I'm out and free to have fun.
I remember going to Virginia Beach to a District Convention. Stayed with friends that lived only 5 minutes from the beach. Didn't go to the beach once. All our time was spent feeding on the "spiritual food" at the convention. Man I hated that. Now when I'm laying on the beach I think about all those poor witnesses sitting bored stiff in unconfortable seats, listening to mind numbing talks, constantly checking their watches to see when this living hell will be over. Then I just smile and get myself another raspberry smoothie.

Psychic readings
by JustTickledPink inwho here has been to a psychic or palm reader?
do you think they have any supernatural powers or just make informed guesses based on statistics when they take a look at you.
example: i am 30, a white female, with a ring on my finger.. what are the issues that concern me?.

My wife had a psychic reading during a Christmas party this year. He told a few things that have come true. Like telling us we would be buying a new truck in a few months. I just bought a 2003 Ford F150 Supercrew, he also said that her twin sister would be getting married next year, she just got engaged over the summer. By the way, she never told the psychic about the engagement.
I don't think they are demonized. I just think these people are trained to ask certain questions that will guide them to make vague predictions about the future. You know, just like the Watchtower.

Jehover's Witness on Discovery Health channel last night -- No Blood
by Elsewhere inlast night i was channel surfing when i came across a discovery health program that followed cases in an emergency room.
one of them was about a jw woman who had some sort of head injury.
to be honest, i did not watch the whole thing, but i did manage to record it on my dvr while i watched other things.

As a nurse, my wife deals with this all the time. She still thinks about the elderly witness she took care of while she was working in a nursing home. The witness refused blood and died a very slow and painful death. I assured her that I would never refuse blood or refuse our kids blood (if we ever have any). It still bothers her to think about it today.
It really bothers me that probably within 10 years they will change their stance on blood and make it a conscience matter. Think of all the people that have died for no reason.

Oh man, I can remember laying on the living room floor watching the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show on Saturday morning while mom was busy in the kitchen making pancakes and eggs. Wouldn't we all love to go back to the time when our biggest worry was if it was going to rain on Saturday. I mean if it rained you couldn't ride your bike or work on you tree house.
Hey wait a minute. I'm still always worried if it's going to rain on Saturday. I love to ride my mountain bike on the weekends.

Should I send this response or not?
by Hecklerboy ini sent an email to my brother about a new truck i bought and got a reply about how the end of this system is so close and i should really return to jehovah.
as far as going back to the meetings, no thanks.
i've had my fill of having my life ran by a religion.

I showed the original response letter to my wife last night. She loved it. She really wanted me to send it but agreed that it would probably just cause trouble and we both want to be able to visit with my mom. She's never been a witness and was raised a baptist. Now that's love for you, an EX-JW and a Baptist getting married. She really hates it when my family starts preaching to us. They even did it at my great aunt's graveside service. She almost went off on them. She's given me allot of strength to be able to tell them I'm not going back to the KH. We've never preached to them about our religous views. We respect there right to do their own thing. Why can't they just do the same?
