by ihadnoidea inone of my doubts i mentioned to my wife was actually posed as a question by a householder to her a few days ago.
i have every once in a while mentioned some doubts i have had on the bible.
i usually get the same response, "wait on jehovah".

what kind of degree do you have?
by deservingone26 inive been going thru a lot of the different posts on here and seeing that most here believe that higher education is very important.
i agree that it is important and i plan on going back to school in the fall but im just wondering who all here has a degree and in what?

by glentrevette ini had a sister who was a tenant in my house and her car was leaking oil all over my newly paved driveway before she moved in i had a condition on the lease that said if her car leaked oil she couldnt park there and i told here after she moved in that she was being deceptive to me when she said her car didnt leak oil she was good friends with a lot of powerful elders in the hall and would you believe they asked to meet with me 3 elders in the back room of the library because they said i had called this sister a liar i got out of it only after i produced a copy of the lease and pictures of the oil mess if i hadnt of had pictures maybe i would of been dfd.

Got counceled for seeing a girl that was a pioneer. I was studying and we met at a KH build. I talked to her on the phone a few times and we met at a CA once. Met her parents once.
They must of counceled her as well because next thing I know she won't return my calls or have anything to do with me.
What a F**ked up religion.
I should have told them it was none of their buisness who I was seeing and to F**k off.

what was the worst meeting you ever attended ?

back in the early 90's we went to the sunday talk and wt study.. lo and behold, a friend from the 70's who was df'ed ( he had just been reinstated) was there along with his parents.
i had no idea that they would have been there.. one of my kids was getting sick, so my wife and i were up-down the entire meeting walking him around.

Wow Donny, you handled that better than I could have. I think I would have just stood up, told them it was none of there buisness, and walked out.
I do remember one bookstudy when I was 10 or 11. I wasn't feeling well and my mom made me go anyways. I didn't comment the entire study so the conductor made a point at the end of the study to mention that we had 99% participation. All the while looking straight at me.
What kind of adult ridicules a sick kid in front of everyone.

Need reference for withholding the truth from "those who don't deserve it"
by Pistoff inhey all, i know that the references for 'theocratic warfare' are ancient and not considered useful.. i would like a reference to the wt saying that one does not have to give truth to those who are not worthy or something similar.. help!.

What does it say about a religion the would even print something about the nuances of lying. Each of us decides what is a lie and what is not. When a religion has an article about the differneces in lying and holding back all the truth that throws up a red flag for me. I would be asking "why are they even discussing this? What are they lying about and what are they withholding from me?"

What's Your Worst/Best Quality About You?

My best quality is probably I'm not a procrastinator. My girlfriend always says that I never let the grass grow under my feet. If something needs done I just do it while she is still thinking about it.
My worst quality is I can be impatient at times. Like I said, I want things done now.

I was sitting on the couch watching the shuttle launch. I always watched it launch back then. I remember seeing it explode and running outside to tell my mom.
