my wife just got word that another couple in the local congregation will be divorcing.this will be the third one within 2 years,all couples in their 20's-30's,just like us here.. anyways,he committed adultery,got a std and she threw him out;the children are devastated.he was known for flirting with any attractive woman,married or not,christian or not.. what upsets me is that these people all went to the hall acting like righteous christians and pre-meditating their family-breaking adultery.meanwhile,i'm treated like shit because i don't attend all meetings here,they must have a wager on my wife and i.like i told the wife before<i'm not going anywhere and i value my family.
Same thing happened to my sister. She met some witness guy and they were engaged when my wife and I got married. Of couse she wouldn't come to the wedding and would barely talk to us when we visited my mom. She was very "holier than thou". Well she got married to the fella and one year later they were divorced. As for my wife and I, five years this May and never happier.
Kinda throws the "You will know them by their love" thing out the window doesn't it?

I got counseld when I was studying about dating a pioneer sister. Guess she did too, cause she wouldn't return any of my phone call afterwards. What's up with that?

Maybe someone should send their congressman or woman a copy of their literature showing the capitol being destroyed. That would get some attention. Then again, I don't want my poor old mom to be rounded up by the goverment.

I mean with all the anti-goverment sentiment in their publications (ie. showing the destruction of the UN and world goverments) I guess I'm suprised the goverment hasn't taken action already. Of course if the goverment did take action against them it would just prove in their own mind they are the chosen ones.
Which makes me wonder about another thing. When are you not considered a JW. I haven't attend a meeting in over 8 years, but I'm not DF'd or DA'd. Do you have to disassociate yourself to be removed from their files or is there a time limit?

We've lived in our new house going on 5 years and only once did the witnesses come around. Thank goodness for them my wife didn't answer the door. She would have given them an earful. I never see any of the witnesses from the old congregation. Not that I'm complaining.

They talk about oral sex in the wt? ? Why? ? What business is it of theres? ? and what is wrong with it ? ? is it unbiblical or something? ? cant say ive come across that scripture!
I remember the "brother" I was studying with told me that oral sex was wrong. I thought that was kinda weird. Why would God care if I had oral sex?

Lots of mountain biking and I'm working on getting a road bike. Funny, it was a witness freind back in the day is the one that got me interested in it. Now that I'm out I usally go every Sunday morning. I would much rather be out in God's creation than sitting in a man made building. having had my 1-2-1 with my boss yesterday on my performance in managing an acute surgical ward, she informs me that she expects me to commence a course in critical care at degree level commencing september.
the reason being our surgical ward is being converted into a high dependancy unit (like an itu) and she wants me to manage it and gain the necessary skills.
i already have a diploma in higher ed.
You can do it Scooby. My wife is a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit here. She is currently working on her Master's in Nursing Science degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. Then she will probably get an Education Degree so she can teach nursing. She works full time (3 - 12 hour night shifts) and drives 2-1/2 hours one way for class one day a week. She loves school and is very dedicated. It gets hard sometimes, but it's well worth it. I help out by typing all of her papers for her and do any of the computer work involved. Once you start taking classes it will all come back to you and you will love it. Have fun and good luck.
I working as an Engineering Technician and have a Drafting degree. Anytime my company wants me to get additional training on new software I jump at the opportunity. Any education is a great thing and it looks great on a resume' if needed.

Then that got me thinking about all the positions like DO, CO, Edler, MS, Pioneer, Aux. Pioneer. All having a certain prestige to them. The more I think about it now, the more I'm convince that they definetly have a clergy class. What other evidence can you think of that proves they do indeed have a clergy class?
