  who were your past circuit overseers?

  i'm sure a lot of us actually know mutual people, as the co's relocate all over the country.. here's a few from the southeast us: (let me know if you recognize any names and post yours too please...).

  Must be a different Don Culp. This guy looks just like Steve Martin. He's been mistaken for him on numerous occasion. He never had you boys around him and was a solid family man. I have to admit he is one of the genuine good guys. Although he totaly beleive it all he never the less is a great guy.

  He's the bother I studied with and I was good friends with his daughter. Of course now she'll have nothing to do with me.

  in the september 15th wt koolaid edition, the study article "christian unity glorifies god" in paragraph 10 this is stated:.

  "the immoral world in which we live threatens our unity.

  people joke about fornication, sing about it, watch it for entertainment, and practice it either in secret or openly.

  So let me get this straight.

  You're not allowed to flirt unless you are planning on marrying someone. How are you supposed to let that person know you are interested if you can't flirt with them? Do you just pick someone in your congregation and tell them you would like to marry them and then start flirting with them.

  They are so sexually frustrated in Bethel all they can think about is sex. They have no social skills and it show in the interpretation of everyday life.

  the wt of september 15, 2010 (kool-aid version) has two articles on unity.

  one is titled: unity identifies true worship and the other christian unity glorifies god.

  of course it is more uniformity, not true unity.

  Wow!!, just Wow!!. I can't believe some of the sh!t they come up with. They are in essence saying the they (the GB) is receiving more and better holy spirit than the rest of the JW's. Since they alone can interpret what the bible says.

  How did all those people in history get along without them?

  How insulting to the R&F. They are telling them that they are too stupid to understand the bible by themselves.

  in the new dvd they talk about ?

  grew, who said that scripture can be used to interpret scripture.

  my take on that info would be that i could learn the bible without a whole lot of auxiliary publications or help from someone "smarter" than me.

  Sounds just like the Roman Catholic Church in the middle ages. The peasants weren't allowed to read the bible and relied on the priest to tell the the correct path.

  use the "search inside" feature to find the discussion of the golden age on pages 131 and 132.. among other things it says: "unbelievably, the golden age published over 130 articles railing against aluminium cookware between 1925 and 1969".. did the society continue to publish articles against aluminum as late as 1969?

  a few years back, before i had any doubts and when i was a hardcore jw, i remember a super-pioneer-jw sister was conversing with me.

  i made the comment about some of my friends at work (all non-witnesses).

  she stops me mid sentence and says "friends?

  september will mark my first year out of the watch towers darkness (pun intended).

  i embarked on my full blown search for truth about the truth in april 2009, and by september of that same year i was convinced the organization was no different than any other religion; but i was wrong again.

  because if there were like any other christian denomination, such as the baptists, methodists, presbyterians, lutherans, etc...it would have been a lot easier to endure sitting in their meetings, listening to their rhetoric, and engaging in some of their activities.

  Hmmm....

  Maybe this is why my JW sister doesn't seem to have time to talk to me lately. I've only heard from her once in the last 3 or 4 months. She used to call once a week. And I had to send her a Facebook message.

  Oh well, she'll call when she needs me to loan her more money.

  So the chicken did as Jehovah command and was blessed all of his days. And all rejoiced for it was good in Jehovah's eye.
