  Why would this even cross my mind?!?!?!?!

  well, after 10 years of being together, hubby has decided that he's found his 'soul mate' (the second time this year, neither of which was me) and is moving out.. i'm thirty years old and no kids, thanks to the fact that i spent 12 years in full time service telling everyone it's better to wait until the 'new system' for raising a family.

  that's all beside the point - and perhaps better suited for my counselor.

  :) anyway, the thought that keeps going through my mind is "this never would have happened if i didn't leave" and "how am i going to find someone to spend my life with at this age and who will understand me the way an ex-jw can"???

  hi there u poor thing.and as we say in the uk what a wanker ur hubby really is.Anyway what do u mean at ur age ur only thirty yo .my wife and i split two years ago.and since then i have worked in turkey and spain and nearly a year ago i met a 24 yold woman with 2 boys 5 and 7 who i love dearly and have great fun with .Im 39 y o .Its never too late to start again and ur never too old to find happiness .so stop feelings sorry 4 urself make new friends and find someone to have some fun with ,do a bit of auditioning find a man who will make ur toes curl in bed .someone who will make u laugh.And more importantly someone whos more interested in making u happy than meeting his hourly requirements preparing 4 meetings or anything else to do with jws .good luck too u .make it happen ..Cyrus

  thought it was hilarious...his dad told him it would explode if he touched it>

  hi guys he souinds like my dad ill never forget my little bro was 7 or 8 and used to raid fridge without permission .my dad consulted elders and was told next time he did it to tie him up and beat him naked with a stick or belt .A little while later early one morning i\ raided fridge for ice cream my brother did same thing and got caught red handed .with spoon in one hand and ice cream round his face denied he had been at it .instead of laughing at situation that evening my father tied my little bro to our metal bunk beds and beat him i will never forget that as long as i live as well as the guilt for not having the courage to admit my part in it .It took me 25 years to beg my brothers forgiveness for letting him go through that monstrous act .Im almost 40 yo now and can still hear his screams as my father beat him before my own and sisters eyes.

  How do you deal with death now

  i must say, it was easier being a jw, believing that i would in fact be resurrected to a paradise earth and having the faith that would definitely happen.

  i still believe in the bible to the extent that i believe jesus led a good life and if we follow his example we will lead one to.

  however, the bible was written by men, who are imperfect and therefore i don't feel we can take the entire book at face value as truth.

  with the hotting up of the wt articles about not listening to apostate lies.

  i was wondering, when you where in the borg did you ever wonder what these "lies" were.. its a strange thing but i never did.

  i never even knew what they said about us and i didnt care.. in other walks of life, if you hear that someone has been lied about, you usually want to know what it is (well i do cos im nosey) but in all my 20 years i didnt wonder about what the apostates were saying.

  Lonely newbie who is glad to be here

  i was directed to this site by a very kind ex-witness who runs a christian ministry in california.

  there are no words to express how thankful i am to be here.. here is what i hope (key word) will be an abbreviated version of my story: i am 35 years old, single, the only child of jw parents who had already spent over ten years in various watchtower capacities (two of those years as gilead missionaries in guatemala) before i was born.

  my father was diagnosed with brain cancer when i was 11 and finally succumbed, after a valiant fight, when i was 14. among the first doubts or questions i remember having was how a god of 'love' could just passively ignore the persecution (malawi!!!

  Where Does the $$ Come From??

  many, many people have lengthy recollections of getting nowhere in field service.. no bible studies, not much placement of magazines or books, especially not for significant cash.. so where is the wts getting all their money from?.

  i've been wondering..... are (and were) dubs expected to purchase a certain amount of materials every month and then just take on the responsibility of getting rid of it (and getting back their money) themselves?.

  if so, you know what that would mean.... it would mean that the wts's millions mostly come from their own 'flock'.

  During the quikbuilds i helped on something that stood out for me,the amount of people who showed up before mealtimes always increased dramatically and then after numbers decreased again.Enjoyed the spirit though.

  everyone new the ninevites rep they were scum they deserved to die but lets face it who thoughtt they would go all brady bunch and beg forgiveness ?jonah new these people he had prob heard nany stories about their disgusting acts .They deserved death .witnesses know today that many people are scum and cant wait for jehovah to shazam the lot of them .There is more chance of the beatles reforming than most saying they are sorry and turning around .

  Can you imagine the reaction of most jws if most of the the pop of earth repented and jah just said Right ive changed my mind theve all said they are sorry ill just bring paradise anyway well done you jdubs ....I wond how much different would they be to jonah in thier reaction ..Would actually be quite funny
