That music in back of your head is Jehovah reminding you according to what the scriptures say. That you made a committment and now have backed out. Listen to the voice and you will see its what is suppose to happen when god is calling you back to his fold.

We can all agree that holding a convention will cost money-- just try renting a place to hold a graduation party or wedding reception. But i can not see the way the cost is figured out. Anyway, my parents are allways telling me this--to keep my eyes simple. But with my seventy thousand a year job its kinda hard to not do anything with the money!!! And i also dont see the relation of donating money to conventions and khalls if your darn broke. I have a bro that i play tennis with and he told me he would not have a job that made him miss a meeting-- in fact he was fifteen minutes late to a meeting last month and he felt so bad he had to go to his bedroom that night and pray to Jehova for forgiveness to ease his conscience. So hes a pizza delivery person. He says he gets by ok and they have what they need but nothing more. So tell me if the Society wants us all to be broke who is going to donate or help others in need??? Now im not knocking this way of life---my parents live the same way where they are living where the need is greater and just getting by. They have their needs filled but nothing extra. They tell me stories of how they need money to go give a talk in another county and dont have the money but the day before someone brings them money or work to do that gets them there. Even leaving the house with no gas and picking up sisters out of the way and returning home from the meeting with more gas in the tank---the gas cap is locked. I tell them we have to tap into the spirit like this to learn how to use it. I believe that Jehova doesnt play favorites but holds all those who rely on him and tap into his spirit as worthy of life.

also, a lot seems to be conspiracy theory.

Im sorry for the last rant. It was a midnite thing. This is a morning after niteshift thing.
MY GOALS:
To get more sex before i get to old.
To get better at tennis.
To make the most money i can before Armageddon comes.
To stay awake during the District Convention so my wife doesnt keep hitting me in back of the head.
Having a beer by the pool after the convention.
I guess thats it for now.

Thanks for answering my question. I asked my brother who frequented this site what in the world are these people doing here if they hate the organization. Why dont they just go somewhere else such as a Yahoo chat site or something, why do they have to spend so much time posting on a WTS info site and not wiccans or warlocks or something else as screwy. You guys have just articulatly answered me by letting us peek into your feelings and emotions. Yes, JWs can be difficult but so is any other strict religion. I was door to door one time and a couple of men from some church i assume were Assembly of God were visiting someone and i heard them tearing him apart over not meeting his tithing. I was glad i was where im at. I was born into the truth so to me there is nowhere else to go, whether i like it or not. The witnesses are my family although it seems like the family members have changed in the last 40 years, but family members stick together. If i have a problem with an elder i can usually tell them about witnessing to them at the door while they were whoring around on the streets years ago. As for me, im not going to jump ship just because a newcomer tells me to swim, ill just though there ass in the water and ask if the waters fine. One elder was giving a talk on Sunday and he said we shouldnt say "There they are go get em" talking about householders. I began laughing so hard i had to get up because thats exactly how i feel. I did my time in the service let someone else with more determination do it now. But i will always still go and occupy a seat. I even tell the speaker that he can guage his talk by if im nodding off or not. See we all can have a place in the organization if we want to.

sorry doodle- i truly am. but i felt pain and sorrow when you described this. maybe it was funny to you, i guess it could be, but i felt pain. i lost my sister she was fourty years old last year. she was eight months pregnant and her child was removed from her in attempts to save it. her funeral memorial was at a khall but coffin remained at funeral parlor. this song was sung there and just brings tears to my eyes everytime its sung. i also feel pain for your suffering-instead of your grieving for your relative you have been hurt by the truth so much that your true ability to understand the need for grieving and dealing with the pain has been distorted. may Jehovah help you become the person you should be. love elvis
