Studying the new "Keep on the Watch!" brochure - Contradictions on page 18?
by ozziepost init's a while since i reviewed the publications that dubs use on their "home bible studies", so the release of a new brochure gives us that opportunity again!.
dubs will be using the "keep on the watch!
" brochure to "invite" the lapsed, as well as the recently interested ones to commit themselves to "god's earthly organisation".. the trouble is, that the writing department have used this glossy brochure to misrepresent the 'real' truth.. page 18 shows a picture of a happy social gathering in "the new system".

I'm proud of you, and I don't even know you. But we got something in common-we both left. It hurts pretty badly but it gets a lot better as time goes on. I still have many relatives in the religion and I miss them sometimes but mostly it's just hurtful that they don't have unconditional love for me like I do them. We move on and stick with the ones that won't shun us just because we think differently. All the best to you. It'll get better.

i am currently writing a psych paper, and i decided my topic is going to be jw's and the higher percentage of mental illness in the organization( in not so many words) i have been doing hella research in medical journals, and i would like to pose a request to anyone out there that has information on this subject to pm me or attach it to your response.
i would really appreciate it, and btw, if would be even better if this was from a peer-reviewed journal, because i have already searched all the sites and got the research from freeminds, watchtowerobserver, and sites such as this.

Hi melba-I was looking at Granny Linda's post here and I think she's right about it not just being limited to JWs-although JWs have a different slant then some of it's religious cousins (seventh day adventist, christian science, mormons).There's a book that has to do with some of the history behind American religion Mystics and Messiahs: Cults and New Religions In American History by Philip Jenkins. I wouldn't say it's a great book but it puts some of the history into context. I don't know if you've looked at rickross.com. It's mostly articles on cults and cultish religious groups but Rick Ross has worked with people exiting cults and there might be some insight into this subject. You can e-mail [email protected].

First of all, Helen Wate never returns my calls. Second, there are no cowboys where I live--just the girly-boy type that shave their balls. Third, I have insomnia and I want to have normal sleeping patterns for once in my life. Fourth, I keep killing threads. AND FINALLY, the whiskey's almost gone. P.S. Okay, works on Safari. The venus williams nipple picture...there was another thread about this two days ago (?) . Can't remember what people were saying in the thread....All I know is my sister was given a lecture by the elders because of her hairstyle (mid-80s really big hair) but then again we were the macaroni and cheese/top ramen eating kind.
