I told these kids at school I'd make a mixed cd for a end of the semester party. They want something with adrenaline. So far all I got is:
Kick Out The Jams -MC5
Debaser -The Pixies
Surrender -Cheap trick
I was thinking about putting BOB- Outkast on it but...it's so played out.
Anybody have any suggestions? I'd appreciate it. -

oh, hell ya. This lady who lived next door to the KH I attended would yell out of her second story windo every Tuesday. At the time I thought she was crazy but now thinking about it...it was freakin 10pm and she lived right next to the parking lot...I would have yelled at everyone standing out there with their cars running talking loud and laughing.

"There was a woman in my old kingdom hall that weighed over 300 pounds..."
There was a lady in my former congregation that weighed over 300 pounds too and she was quite a talker...her name was Sandy. She was a nice lady as I recall. -

"So this forum is full of Ex withness trying to hate or what?"
Well...not trying to hate. A lot of people on this forum are x-JWs that are trying to deal with what we went through as JWs...but I can't speak for everyone. I think if you stick around the forum you'll see that many of us still have family in the WTS and the majority of us don't hate JWs as individuals but have some problems with the doctrine and rules imposed upon it's members. I hope you don't let all the arguing get to you and you make a decision on what happens in your life according to what's best for you and not what's best for fitting into the WTS. Again, welcome to the forum and I hope you stick around. -

Encouraged to read only the Old Testament?
by snbdye2000 insome of you may recognize my name and my story - my husband has been studying with a jw for about a year now, off and on.
currently he claims that he is not going to read their books anymore and just read the bible on his own (yea!).
my question is in regards to his reading habits.

Well, in my experience the New Testament was a big thing. The book of Revelation was something harped on in my JW experience. And I remember as a kid being told that the Jews were Gods people but since they didn't accept the New Testament that changed things...
I'm not sure what the WT's stance is but the JW Bible has both Old and New. Somebody might have another view. -

The WTBTS's proactive steps at preventing child molestation.
by formerout inbrobennett, you made this comment in another post:.
breeding pedophiles are more common in other religions since they are kept in circulation and not taken out of the religion.
by the way, brobennett, do you have kids?.

BroBennett is loving all this attention like another guy with the initials BB...why do JWs love to be persecuted so much that they seek it out? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Is the Watchtower unintentintionally breeding "false" witnesses
by XQsThaiPoes ini noticed that at least in my area the jws are morraly corrupt.
now this is not traditional corruption where i bend the rules out of greed for power or money.
this is the total lack of moral judgement, or as the watchtower calls it "a bible trained conscience".

*"A non-jw has a sick child that needs a blood transfussion. The non-jw does not believe in blood transfussions. They ask the jws for help avoiding a blood transfussion. The jws* look at the person as crazy, and says give your child a blood transfussion they may die without one!"
They've always had different rule books.
You know I remember reading a thread a while back where Lonewolf was saying there was some in fighting...I've been meaning to look that up in past threads. -
