I saw him once :) He was standing outside of Bethel pointing up at it yelling "look at how much money the Watchtower makes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" "look at how much money the Watchtower makes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" At the top of his lungs. Yup my first and only trip to NYC was a real hoot. It was also during the middle of a garbage strike. Ewwwwwwwwwww.

YOU CAN TELL THEY'RE A WITNESS BECAUSE...
by minimus inhave you ever noticed someone that just had to be a witness?
for example, you're on vacation in a very warm climate and you see 2 men dressed in suits....they must be witnesses.
or you go to a sporting event and you see a group of guys suddenly run for the nearest bathroom and the national anthem is just about to be played....they must be witnesses.

It's Nissan 14th, say 9:00 or so in the evening and the local friendly's or other ice cream shop is suddenly and without warning engulfed by a hungry swarm of neatly dressed men, women and children :-)

XJW Pagans
by SpiderMonkey into spice, moe, gsx, & many others i've met here, i have a question: whether xjw or just associated w/ jw's at some point in time, those who now consider themselves pagan: do you have a link to a pagan site that offers good chat & board services like this one does?
i'm getting to a point where i frequently find myself reading some very valid ideas against jw's and basically posting "yeah.
" i'm not interested in leaving this board entirely, but i am interested in finding a board that suits my current beliefs & interests more fully... i want to accentuate the positives more so than the negatives in other words.... this is in no way meant as a slam against this board; this board has helped me as nothing else ever has.

THINGS YOU WISHED TO DO INSTEAD OF GOING TO A MEET
by minimus infor many of us, the thought of missing a meeting to do anything else was problematic.
should i go to that concert (to that group that only comes once every few years on a meeting night) or should i give my talk?
should i go to both meetings this sunday or should i go on that company picnic?

I remember when I was little Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was going to be on Thursday night at 8 and my mom wouldn't let me stay home and watch it. I was SO completely devestated LOL. Oh the pain ;) The there was the time I was singing in a school musical and my mom's conscience was just killing her because the play was about the Zuni indians (pagan dontcha know) AND the play was on a meeting night. BUT I did get to sing in it :) YAY mommy hehehehe.
