Same as you, GBSJG. When I found out about the UN/NGO affair, I began researching, visiting various discussion websites, and meeting up with others who felt the same. I had thought, at first, that the WBTS had apostatized. Ten months later I experienced an unusual feeling, like yours I'm guessing, where it all went *poof* and it was then I realized it was never, is not, and will never be "the truth". An exhilarating feeling of freedom swept over me, realizing that I was free from a cult.

That feeling that it could al be false how did you experience it?
by GBSJG inwhen i started researching i was still convinced that jws had the truth.
so i read some critical articles by ex-jws about certain teaching and i started to do some more research.. at this time i have successfully faded and no longer believe anymore.
but i can remember the moment when i first allowed the thought in my mind that it could all be false and not the truth.

That's What I'M Talkin' About!
by Farkel incall me a curmudgeon.
there are just some expressions in today's vernacular that are just idiotic, and "that's what i'm talkin' about" is one of these.
it is so ghetto.. several people are saying 'blah, blah, blah, de blah and more de blah..." suddenly, a dimwit in the group hears something that dimwit didn't even mention but happens to like the subject and then dimwit blurts out, "now that is what i'm talkin' about!".

While we are on the subject I would appreciate someone suggesting ways that I may murder people who say 'Duhhhhh', and 'Hellooooo' as a means of accenting the fact that someone has behaved stupidly, and stay out of prison.
Don't get your hands dirty...just give Whitey Bulger a call.

Interesting points. If God was behind an organization, why would it voluntarily approach and then partner (with annual renewals) with the scarlet coloured beast (UN) for ten years.
It would if it was "the god of this system of things" who was behind it.

Russell said that the Millennium had already begun, so he would eventually have to distance himself from his own "old light" (if he had lived longer). Either that or a schism probably would have developed anyway.

From the sermon "The Brotherhood of Christ" found on pages 702-703 in the book Pastor Russell's Sermons (1917):
Our Redeemer's words give the key suggesting the characteristics for which we would seek. He says: "By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love for one another." (John 13:35.) He emphasizes this, saying, "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you." (John 13:34.) Ah, we get the thought that the Church is a blessed brotherhood of all those who not only love God supremely, so that they delight to do His will, even at the cost of self-interest, but who also love one another as Christ loved them, which signifies to the extent of willingness to lay down their lives for one another! We look in vain for such an organization amongst men. We perceive various bundles or organizations under various names, all professing love, but none of them even dreaming of such bonds of love. We are not forgetting the Masons, the Odd Fellows, the Presbyterians, the Methodists, the Episcopalians, the Lutherans, the Roman Catholics, etc. But none of these claim to be such a brotherhood as our Lord has described. They do indeed claim to give special attention to each other's interests, and to have certain reverence for God, but not to the extent that our Master intimated---not to the extent of laying down their lives in doing the will of the Father and in their love for the brethren.

Baha'i religion
by Junction-Guy indoes anyone here know anything about baha'i?, i have never seen it mentioned on here before.
i remember there was a country singer back in the late 80's that was a baha'i, but i cant remember his name.
even back then while i was going to the kingdom hall, when i first heard of this singer something in my mind said this is a cult, even though i was associating with the grandaddy of them all.
