Well... this one did NOT have to be altered:
"... there is no way to know precisely how Moses, David, and others of ancient times pronounced the letters that make up the divine name ".

the watchtower is constantly pulling quotes out of context and distorting the original author's meaning.
why not give them a taste of their own poison?
here's a few to get you started: .

kristi is terminal.
she developed a fistula that would take forever to heal.....and that's only if she doesn't eat or drink anything for 6 to 9 months.
her lower digestive tract was destroyed last year by the radiation.....the docs doubled the radiation for expediency at the time, obviously not thinking about the end results.
That's very sad. I send you positive thoughts. God give you consolation in these hard times.
i would like for it to be known that my being apart of jwd has been an experience that has given me hope.
i've come to enjoy being a part of the online community, so much so that it's what i look forward to when my day involves something other than being here.
the only thing better than being here would be to experience being with you all, face to face.
Thanks! It`s a therapy to be here! And BTW, I like your new avatar.
.
she's like 50 or 51 now, but when "girls just wanna have fun" came out, as a red blooded teenage boy i was totally in love.. just thought you all needed to know.
The girls from Heart were awsome. But the dark-haired one has become somewhat fat, while the blondie is still a cutie. Very different aging...
i cannot remember my dreams usually, and i can't tell you the last time i dreamed about something jw related, years ago.
i've been out so long that many of the things discussed on here, i look at and go, "oh yea, i remember that.
" but last night i had the funniest dream!
Last night I dreamt of talking to 2 "apostates", trading experiences of how we left the "troof". Interesting, since I never talked to any XJW in person, and that all my previous dreams about JWs were kind of nightmarish. In the dream i told them (1 guy and 1 girl) how happy I was now.
or do you think that a person should continue to be made to "live" even though they are in a vegetative state?
I second every opinion above!
dear brothers, .
almost hundred years ago first publishers representing the truth of bible came to west coast of finland and that marked the beginning of emphatic preaching of good news of kingdom in this country.
first and second generation of publishers did meritoriously their part in that work.
How dare people lead normal lives, they should be out selling books!!!???
Hey! Isn't there a parable about the man who sold all his belongings and went on to sell books? (or was it to wait at the end in 1975? I don't remember). Or maybe too much wine in my head...
But anyway, how about that story of "if we don't preach the stones will preach"... or "the growth show the blessing of Jehovah (therefore it's not the merit of humans preaching)? Is "Jehovah`s hand too short"?
Are individuals able to stall Jehovah's will? If the Almight wants to separate his sheep, can mere individuals keep it from happening?
This show more and more that the WTS is just that: a book publishing company.
i have had this nickname online for over five years.
when i signed up at this discussion board i really was looking for fellow jw believers, looking for some new freinds.
what i found was something so much better.
Sofa, I assure you that your account of reading the book is greatly appreciated by us. Keep on!
the guy that shot 11 people, killing 7, in a church in wisconsin was apparently upset over a sermon he'd heard.
the sermon may not have been about the end of the world, but the church he attended taught that it was coming, and coincidentally, it was coming "soon".

re: your comments under gumbys sunday school thread.
my companion is disabled, he'd be crushed if he watched that movie!
he fights depression all the time being disabled.. losing the use of his legs was very difficult for him.
You are very strong people. More than any movie character will be. God bless you.
