Like I've always said, if there is a Hell, that's where I would go because that's where the good music is. No BeeGees, no New Kids on the Block, no Barry Manilow. Give me Freddie Mercury, Janis Joplin, Bon Scott, Kurt Cobain and Hendrix any day.

Add to that that I would rather die and burn forever than spend eternity in khakis and polo shirts.

Indeed, kinda like a Pauly Shore movie... lame, pathetic comedy but you can't stop watching, somehow it entertains us.

Can we blame our ancestors for our own shortcomings?

in a recent thread about an nfl player being allowed to return to play after being convicted and serving time for a felony, it was suggested that maybe his ancestory played a part in his attitudes and actions.. those of you were playing along at home know the deal.... is it fair to lay blame on one's ancestors in how one acts in today's society?.

i think not.... my ancestor's came here from scotland, when their lands were taken from them back home.

they came here with nothing and had to start over in a land with next to nothing, eeking out an existance in the mountains of tn and nc, always struggling.

For those with faith, when one bubble bursts, we just blow a new one and see how pretty that new one is. We might even take a picture of it, if we can.

Self-delusion

Faith is for children, and those who become like them.

Being naive, ignorant and submitted

Jesus loves the children, and doesn't want any to be hindered in coming to him.

Just like priests and the pedophiles the Wt protect

Jesus exemplifies Jehovah, and teaches about Him, as we can handle it.

He does not. Jehovah is protrayed as a cruel, petty, warmongering and violent entity in the OT. Jesus did not exemplify that. Either he was a good PR rep or was representing someone else entirely

"The Creator's promise", however the description is recorded, is all about hope as well as keeping on learning about Jehovah and Jesus, and, thus, living forever.

That kind of hope is for people that cannot stand on the legs of reason.

The changes and re-framing take humility to accept.

Malachi 3:6

Jehovah and Jesus love to teach us how to be more humble, even patiently.

Like children, and thus the circle goes around one more time...
