It is good to note that the announcement being read this week in Canada starts off with a very BOLD lie.
It starts 'due to allegations of abuse in other religions..... some have wondered whar WE do in this case'...
The point is, the WTS had it worded so as to point the finger at other religions ie the Catholic Church, as if this "POLICY" announcement were being made in a "by the way" fashion.
Sure... since the churches are sinners, YOU dubs and the general public might be curious as to OUR position.
True change does not start out with a BIG FAT LIE.

Well, the WTS has directed all elders in Canada to read a letter concerning the Child Abuse issue. It is the same whitewash as read in the US a while back when Dateline aired. It seems that on the 'eve of destruction' (ie BBC and Panorama) the WTS has decided to read a letter that was obviously penned weeks ago. It commneded the "brothers" to enjoy the upcoming District Convention which has already passed. I guess they held off till they just HAD to read it. Second thoughts etc.
In any case, SILENT LAMBS has FORCED the Watchtower to make a policy change. Now, each one can go to POLICE with their abuse case. I would like to see elders tell abuse victims privately that they will be shunned and disfellowshipped (excommunicated) if they use the option set out publicly.

What Would I Have Done?
by Frenchy inin reading the gospels about jesus ministry i cannot help but be moved by his message and manner and i know i am not alone in feeling like this.
i marvel, smile, and slowly shake my head as i read about the miracles that he performed and have, at one time or other, wished that i could have been there to witness those marvels and to hear his voice.
perhaps like many others i have also wondered at those people who heard him and yet walked away.

this is not what the forum is here for.
if you want to post stuff like that then there are lots of places on the internet for it and, more importantly, if people want to see and read stuff like that then they are quite capable of going to these places themselves.. i know everyone likes to 'let their hair down' now and again, me included, and i like pictures of sexy women as much as anyone .

You know, when I look around the hall and see my "brothers", I see mostly a bunch of people who, without the WTS mind control, would otherwise be defunct in a spiritual sense.
Devoid of faith, devoid of integrity, devoid of fellow feeling and charity.
To see so many who, after peeking behind the curtain in OZ, leave not only the BORG, but also any sense of decency, of concern for others.
I don't like most who are IN, and unfortunately, I don't like most who are OUT.
People are people ...are people. When the BORG implants are removed from most, they lose all sense. They could care less if smutting up this site ruins chances of helping others break free. The penis leads the pack.
What an attitude "I could care less for helping others break free, I want porn, porn, porn." and "I want porn everywhere, porn sites are not enough, I want it to be here, there and everywhere."
All the porn kings here are just as braindead now when OUT of the Borg, as they were when they were IN. Sad.
