Keeps them coming to the mtgs. Never know when you might miss some special announcement. If they only knew what we all know. Of course they wouldn't believe it and the org. keeps it shut up.

but these are all very significant, and they are all happening at once, in a relative sense.those of us in the apostate circles may not realize just how the total impact might be on the flock.

Anyone Dfd for seeing 'new light' before GB did?

Yes. I knew of a sister who did a lot of research with the org. lit. She came to believe that the pillar of light that led the Israelites in the wilderness was Jesus. Unlike Blondie's cases, she told of her founding. Was told to wait on Jehovah. She didn't and kept on researching. She was DF.
I don't remember how much time passed, but the org. did come out w/the same info. Of course, she was still left out in the cold.

Some do and some don't. Those that do, (like my husband and I) are not putting on a show, but don't care what others think. Those that don't may be prudes or don't want to "stumble" anyone - you know how that one goes. Or else they may not have that in their relationship.
I don't think in most cases it's a question of loving the other person. It's just about feeling comfortable showing affection in public.

Thanks friends for your help. This person's brother is an elder who is giving him this info. In the same cong. as he. Elders want my friend to meet w/them and his wife, who goes to another cong., and they say that she talks to them, but she won't give her husband the time of day. Sounds to me she's a real piece of work. Thanks Blondie for your input w/the "rules". Must go along w/moral character. Of course they are the professionals on this topic, heh? Yeah, right.

WHO HAS READ C.O.C.? WHAT WAS AN EYE OPENER FOR YOU?
by juni ini am half way through the book and am finding some surprising information.
i was always told that the gb met on wed. and prayed before considering their decisions on things, but was i surprised that different ones were given the assignments and to use if they wanted other "worldly" written things and then were off on their own to work independantly or w/another to come up w/the book, etc.. also, the malawi and mexico difference in treatment.
brothers lied to escape military service in mexico.

I finished the book and read about that also. They had to be in deep despair! Can you imagine. They must've felt like they had just got a blow in the stomach!
So rude and haughty, unloving and cruel. And these men are at the top of "Jehovah God's channel" for all mankind. I'd receive better treatment from the local McDonald's fast food chain!!!!!
Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts. We were all in the same "boat" at some time, but we can survive such lies and go on as unbittered people too.

As I read through them it was very obvious that these could all be printed on the book jacket as what to expect from the book.
I read until 3AM this morning and am almost done w/the book. HAVE to finish it.
Another point. Didn't the Potsinger (sp?) person who was in a Nazi camp act like his captors minus the physical harm towards Franz and the others? You'd think he would've been more reasonable. But of course he wanted to maintain his status at the top. What a b******. Like the rest.

hot news from todays morning worship announcement worldwide -- letter from gb being read on 1st of march 2006 to every branch (hopefully we will have a copy of the letter soon.).
as of aug. 31, 2006 the bethel elder arrangement will be dissolved!

Bethel elders sit at the head and the foot of the tables in the dining rooms and "maintain order" and check up on those seated there. Can't miss too many breakfasts or be late or sick too often and they check up on you. Any reports about bad behavior are checked into by them. I think you have to be a Bethel elder to be in a supervisory position at Bethel.
