  Wouldn't that be RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION

  It is according to our Constitution nathannatas - my opinion is that it's not worth the cost monetarily or emotionally in most instances to right the wrong. Working for Witnesses I have found is not good. Most who do "get burned" just leave and find other work.

  You are amazing Comm. Lore! I have talked w/you at Gabbly and have read your posts here at the forum. You are very intelligent, but more importantly (in my opinion) very warm hearted and a good person. Your discussion w/your parents was respectful and logical.

  Isn't it something how JWs go around in circles w/their reasoning? Though I used to do the same thing to "protect" mother and therefore be pleasing to Jehovah.

  THE BIGGEST STEP is to get JWs to see that the WTB&TS and the FDS do not = Jehovah's organization . It's hard because the mindset is in concrete. Perhaps though you might have started them thinking; you never know Lore.

  it's so much easier for me to write in swedish.

  it takes a lot of effort to find the right words in english.. i understand most of what i read here, but it means more hard work to try to express my thoughts in english.. anyway, i finally wanted you all to know that i appreciate this board.

  This is so very interesting - I never gave it a thought that there are exJW boards for specific languages. Thanks for "crossing over"!! My Swedish is non existent, but it is interesting trying to read your language (although I'm phonetically pronouncing according to English) LOL

  I just noticed that you are very close to my age. Please, when it gets closer to your birthday come back and pay us a visit so we can properly wish you a Happy Birthday. We like doing birthdays!

  Anyone going to the DC in IL this Weekend?

  i have been bombarded all week about going and have been seriously thinking about it.. i guess i am more curious about its new location this year more than anything.. should i go?.

  Blondie? I always went to the DA I was assigned. I was a good little dub. But some of these places WERE the pits. But I do have to say that there were some who went other places for different reasons. Actually the cong. I was in - the elders and MSs were asked to jot down who they saw from the cong. at the assigned assembly. We had certain assigned areas for cleaning for each congo. Remember that? Good opportunity for the gossipers to keep tabs.

  I don't think cheeseheads are the only whiners. Just saying ya know?

  A number of years ago Lee Greenwood sang this at the Madison, Wisconsin Rhythmn and Booms 4th of July celebration. It is the largest fireworks display in the country and the display is accompanied by the Madison Symphony Orchestra. While Mr. Greenwood sang this song he had orchestral backup. It was breath taking to say the least and the fly over by the F-16s was awe inspiring.

  I perhaps know some of you people!! what a trip!

  Keyser? you must've been in a different circuit than I cause there was one in Green Bay and then the De Kalb one. I don't go to any. But for many years did. i remember the 5 day ass. What torture.

  Oh being pregnant and going to assemblies is the ABSOLUTE WORST. The smells make you want to puke. And the seats kill your back. Once I took the bus to the White Sox (Comiskey park?) DA. I had a bladder infection and it was HORRIBLE. All these smelly, diesel buses lined up and here i am getting off to find the bathrooms. Thank the gods that my friend was there to watch my 2 babies while I left. What was I thinking? Oh yeah. I was being a spiritual person having Jehovah's favor. Yeah right. I shouldv'e been home taking care of myself.
