I couldn't agree more w/Barbara's words.
And also w/what others have posted from their experiences. It's the same method of handling other types of criminal behavior in the congregations. They want it to go unreported so that, "Jehovah's name is not smeared" when in reality it is a manmade organization that is wanting to protect its reputation.
it's too damn cold for my liking!
all the people that have real winters will laugh, but mid 30's to lower 40's is despicably cold by oregon standards .
to make things that much better, the furnace in the house where i live died on monday.
hey BW! We got almost an inch of the white stuff in southern Wisconsin.. cold in the 30's too today and tomorrow and then back into the 40's on Saturday.

a producer with nbc in new york called within the past hour to tell me that the segment i interviewed for (once in nashville, tn in august and once in washington, dc in october) is set to air tonight on nbc nightly news with brian williams, that is, if no huge calamity takes place to bump the feature.
this piece will be two minutes and 45 seconds long, the longest slot nightly news has for topics of interest, and will feature a discussion about the court documents that are found on the cd i recently produced, "secrets of pedophilia in an american religion, jehovah's witnesses in crisis.
in addition, nbc's internet site, msn, will follow with a detailed story.

No doubt for many JWs this will be minimized as "apostate persecution".... but it is now public information .. out there for anyone who wants to consider the facts.

also their loved ones and caregivers.. - has been fighting mantle cell lymphoma for three years.
he received an allogeneic cell transplant and his latest blood and bone marrow results have shown no trace of cancer!!

my mom at 73 is full time pioneering and complaining that many days a week the young couples never show up.
she describes them as having new cars, big houses, and having to both work to maintain their lifestyles.. she mentioned the above statement from the latest co to the congregation.. oh really......!.
i said to her, well none of these people were allowed to get college educations and they are probably earning 10.00 an hour max which goes nowhere.
I remember that cliche R from years ago....
there are those so out of touch w/the realities of life and then have the audacity to push their personal opinions on others as God's acceptable way for living. This mentality starts at the top in the organization and works its way down to individuals in the congregation.

as i read it on your posts, it seems that at your assemblies there were candy machines which you were somehow forbiden to use.. am i right?.
it just seems ridiculous to me!

yesterday afternoon i took my daughter to a beauty school to get her first perm.
she has been wanting one for a while and i've been resistant until just recently after taking her to a school ice skating party and viewing her classmates...it was time to do this.
i watched her sit in that chair the whole time, watching her go through the process, she enjoyed the whole thing.

in answer to the one i sent him..i had sent him some christian tracts .which he admits he has little use for spiritual things ( which i can understand bless him) but he did say he wouldnt throw them away one day maybe!!!.
he said that he agreed with me that an apology is truly in order ,& wanted to take this time & the opportunity to offer an unreserved apology for his conduct on jwd,of which he is both ashamed & embarrassed to everyone there /\....he also added he wished you all a very happy christmas.. .
he added that he has not been on jwd since ....thought i would let you all know.. so any who do pray .
or perhaps very lonely... and things got out of hand.

my dear friends, i feel so ashamed of myself for having not been in contact for over two weeks with anyone who was at the toronto fest, i have been so ill for the last two weeks or more and haven't even got onto my computer to tell all of you that it was grand and to especially thank two wonderfull persons in particular.
you know who you are and because i had misplaced your telephone number i wasn' t able to contact you and tell you how truly you made me feel so special that day.. could you please send me you phone number again and your address as i would like to send you a christmas card as well.. i met some fine wonderful people from all over the place.
this is one day i will cherish for the rest of my life.
