I e-mailed the administrator and told them I thought their pacifists way of addressing the WTS's history made me ill. I see the actions of the GB and their means to an end through authoritarian devices as nothing less than criminal.

while it sees value in jehovah's witnesses, its primary purpose is to reform the governing body.

How many true scholars/scientists are there really among JWs?
by zagor inthis is a question i've been puzzled by ever since my days in the borg.
everywhere i looked i saw tradesmen, cleaner, auto-mechanics here and there some computer technician.
and i do know there are two doctors, one gp and one specialist in the field of drug rehabilitation.. i've heard stories of some being true scholars though.

this does not mean the program will never be aired on pbs.
rather, the request is made because of feedback from viewers like us.

i am reminded all the more how much us humans like to put on a good show, but really get very little done.
these artist have spent time, money and effort to end world hunger in africa.

Yes, it's a very complicated issue . . .however, the problem will never be solved by not giving. BTW the concerts were free and the artists did not ask for money. Money may have come from selling air time but so what? Even if you bought the " One " bracelets, is $10.00 too much to ask?
Cynical people will never solve the world's problems.

free...you remind me of someone who lives a very negative life; don't you realize that it's not what one has/owns in life but rather what one feels. What difference should it make to you if these artists live in nice houses . . it just doesn't matter, or haven't you gotten to that point in your life yet.
Don't downplay someone for trying to do something worthwhile.

heathen . . .Comparatively, there are no American poor people; the so called 'poor people' in America are lazy, emotionally unbalanced or suffer from the ' victim' syndrome. Most people in developed countries have no idea or could give a shit less about the misfortunes of those in third world countries.

Here in Florida we were lucky . . .we got to see the London, Philadelphia and Barrie, Canada shows.

MY ADVENTURE AT THE ASSEMBLY......
by Mary into start my day with: as i was walking down the street towards hell the assembly, i went to cross halfway across the road when a cheese and cracker brother told me that i should "cross at the light so that others can see that jehovah's people are law abiding citizens.
stick my lapel badge up his ass sideways make a good impression so i waited until he was distracted by other jaywalkers and then dashed across the road complied with his suggestion.
once in the building i managed to find a seat next to a guy who looked remarkably like fat bastard was a bit on the plump side.

I haven't been exposed to Witness Think in many, many years and it is so sad that absolutely NOTHING has changed.
