  Is baptism a contract with God or with the Watchtower org?

  whyamihere is back home from her LONG surgery!

  just wanted to let everyone know that brookie is home recuperating from her surgery on monday.

  it was over 6 hours long and now she has stiches and staples in both legs...as they had to take a vein from her good leg to repair the aneurism...so she is cut up pretty bad.

  stop by and wish her well...poor baby.

  avishai . . . I don't know HOW to handle sexual predators, other than to say they need help, a LOT of help. How are they going to get it, who knows? Yes, they should be behind bars, however, they should go through some kind of intense " pschological makeover "; "resensitized ," "bootcamp for the soul" . . .know what I mean?

  Also, this is presently a court preceding . . . everyone here wants to hang the guy for being accused of a crime. This is old west lynch mob thinking. You all are wrong and you know it.We become like JW's when we think like this , , ,extremely judgemental. I thought the people here were above that.

  Just to let you all know, I have been a victim, more than once, of terrible deeds done to my person. No, I've never been sexually abused, but I've been shot, beat up,robbed ( both directly and played ) and I still believe that those that did me harm should not only go to jail but get help while they were in there.

  bisous . . .I'm not eighty . . .fifty something going on thirty !

  I believe my previous post pretty much states how I feel about sex offenders. I also tend to think that there is a big difference in a sex offender who is 30 years old and one who is 80 years old. The old guy, in this case( old gal in others) is quite possibly suffering from some form of dementia and is not in touch with reality like the 30 year old is. There should not be a " catch all" sort of judgement for every child molester.We all abhor the crime, but don't let our revulsion be the guiding light that decides the fate of the accused.

  It's just a sarcastic figurative saying that means one should not judge . . .I believe that if I found out , for sure,that a man or a woman was sexually abusing my kid, I would go after the SOB and take care of business( unless he was 80 years old ) however, I would then make sure he/she was admitted to a psyche hospital for treatment. There is a reason this old guy- somebody's dad, somebody's grandfather- is doing what he's doing. He needs help.
