Me! It shows he supports a strong public school system and wants criminals off the streets!

Ronald Regan....
Never heard of him. Now Ronald Reagan would have been a much better choice. However, I thought ronald Reagan was involved in politics at least at the grassroots level for some years before he decided to make that run. I thought I read somewhere that Arnold has little experience in politics at any level.
It's official....the political processes of the United States of America is now the laughingstock of the world. Who in the hell wants the guy who starred in Kindergarden Cop as their governor?
first, simon and other mods, please let this thread run its course for a while.
if it gets too dicey, then i will move or lock it.
my goal is not to have a big flame war, but to expose an issue for what it is.
Good causes unfortunately provide much fodder for rhetoric and excuses for ppl who haven't learned to adequately deal with their emotions. This whole Ray Frantz/Bill Bowen thing is proof of that.
bill,.
i forcefully opposed your posts concerning raymond franz.
i must now apologize for all the things i said.. someone i trust has informed me of some things that have caused me to feel that without a doubt your position was the correct one.. ray franz should have supported you and not by his silence add support to the watchtower!
Many of the issues that the whole Franz/Bowen debacle encompasses are just now starting to be openly discussed publicly, even in the (for lack of a better expression) world. It's hardly impossible to understand that a man as old as Ray Franz would be reluctant to talk about such things. Also before ppl choose sides maybe they should know exactly what infomation Ray Franz holds. Did he have personal knowledge of the details of whatever it was that Greenlees and Chitty were accused of?
twickenham stadium.
london.
so i'll drive up there this next coming sunday, stressed to the eyeballs with all the traffic, making wrong turns, panicking when the traffic gets too heavy in central london, wondering if i'm following the right turns, stopping and looking at my a-z, wishing my family we're still with me.
I think I understand what you are going through. It seems like you have to exchange one sort of subculture for another. Man that has to be difficult. I guess on one hand you know what being a witness is all about. Yet, you probably know nothing about what it's really like to be a gay man. One things for sure you won't find anything out just sitting on the fence as Six put it. I know it's not as simple a thing, but maybe you oughta start to find out how other ppl like you live. As comforting as the illusion of the "Truth" is, the comfort it brings cannot begin to heal the pain that denying oneself brings.
especially stinky and six
i am going back to the kh.
i've been here 2 years and posted over a year trying to be supportive of everyone but some things are even too obvious for even me to not see.
Hey Plum,
I pretty much echo Dannybear's sentiments. Pretty much anywhere you go you are going to run into ppl who will be assholes. It's a fact of life. The Tower brainwashed alot of us into thinking that somewhere on this planet there is some emotional utopia that we can find if we sell enough books, put in a certain number of hours, or spend enough time studying colorfully illustrated theology comic books. However we need toface the fact that sucha place does not exist. Instead of continuing to look for this perfect place where the ppl and surroundings always make us feel good, we should accept life for what it is and know that feeling good depends mostlyon what's going on inside of us.
Whatever it is you decide to do, I wish you the best.

if you were the president of the us, would you confront north korea or would you try to make a deal with them to reduce tensions.. north korea warns us: we can produce six atom bombsby rupert cornwell in washington.
16 july 2003 .
the crisis over north korea's nuclear weapons programme deepened yesterday as the north claimed it had made enough plutonium for six atomic bombs, and a former us defence secretary warned that the two countries could be at war by the end of the year.. the latest claim from pyongyang was communicated to the bush administration last week, three months after north korea said it was beginning to reprocess 8,000 spent nuclear fuel rods that were under united nations seal until the un inspectors were ejected from the country at the end of 2002.. us intelligence agencies are now trying to determine whether the boast is true or merely another bluff by the reclusive stalinist regime.. either way, the declaration has pushed the us president a step nearer deciding whether to accede to north korea's demand for direct negotiations - and thus drop his previous insistence that he would never bow to "nuclear blackmail" - or to accelerate plans for a military strike against the north's nuclear installations.. that spectre was raised yesterday by william perry, defence secretary under president clinton, when he told the washington post that the bush administration was "losing control" of the situation.. mr perry is a specialist on korea who helped prepare the military action which mr clinton came close to launching against yongbyon and other key north korean sites in 1994. he now fears that the north is not only close to a nuclear test to show the world it is a nuclear power, but also that it could sell a weapon to a terrorist group for use against the us.. "the nuclear programme now under way in north korea poses an imminent danger of nuclear weapons being detonated in american cities," mr perry said, adding that he had reached that conclusion after talks with bush officials in washington, and with senior figures in china and south korea.. china, reckoned to have the greatest leverage over of kim jong il's renegade state, launched a new effort this week to draw the north into regional talks to defuse the crisis, but mr perry told the washington post that as far as he could see, the "diplomatic track is inconsequential" and going nowhere.. the korean crisis has been largely ignored as washington has focused almost exclusively on iraq.
Just keep bribing them with food and fuel. Get our troops out of the DMZ and to safety in other Pacific military bases. Then aim as much airpower as we can at them and neutralize their atomic capabilities.
i think we all know about the changing definiition of "generation" by the watchtower society.
i thought i would highlight history in terms of generations.
my great grandfather was born in 1850. that would make him 29 when russell started his religion.
This is a great thread. I never thought of it that way, ya old fogey!
I hope Jan and yourself are doing well.

They're just gonna make it worse, for themselves. The industry really needs to stop charging so much for it's friggin music. I could care less about a corporation's profits.
