  so far for album of the year 2003 is the white stripes "elephant".

  using vintage instaments and laying them down on an old 8 track give this album an old school flavor.

  with the energy of the buzzcocks with an instamental sound of vintage stones

  countries, governments, and social systems all can encounter a special time of judgement - a unique moment in history.

  when they must face reality and survive - or wither away as another of humanity's dead ends.. the muslim world has entered such a time.

  they must progress or face a destruction of their own making.. i'm shocked at how few people actually appreciate the danger that 9-11 exposed.

  I doubt that oil prices are the major reason for all the conflict in the Middle East. Major segments of the population don't like the influence that Western Civilization has had on it's culture. Much of this is due to the fact that the resources in that part world are mostly gourged and horded by the powers that be and this is probably done with the subtle support of own goverment.

  The most detrimental developement in this issue, imo, is the advent of extremists leaders on both sides of the conflict. The ppl calling the shots now would rather see us fight it out than having to save face and violate thier precious ideologies. I say let Arafat, Sharon, Bush, Saddam, Bin Laden and their respective staffs and cronies duke it out themsleves and leave everyone else the hell alone.

  In my own interpretation I believe ohn was simplyre-iterating the fact that Jesus Christ was indeed more than a man and as being such was able to make the one thing a Christian hopes for into a reality. Namely, a resurrection to be with Christ in the kingdom of God. In order for that hope to be well-founded Jesus would have to be more than a mere man the God used to accomplish a particular thng at a particular time. He would to be seen as occupying a position unlike any servant of god ever. Therefore, John had to acknowledge Jesus's divinity and a closeness to God greater even than Moses who served God face to face.

  I SAW THE MATRIX RELOADED LAST NIGHT!!!

  i don't want to give anything away, but if you are a fan, you should really enjoy this.

  the f/x, as we all know, are wonderful, but i really liked the storyline also.

  although some of the lines are a little trite, it's really got a lot going for it.

  And was it me, or did some of the already-famous Burly Brawl look animated? Things slow down to bullet time, and Neo's face looks plastic, as in a video game.

  Yeah it defintely looked animated to me. However the way that one particular scene was shot...the slow buildup to an action packed crescendo, then Neo just blasting off made it one of the film's best, imo. There were only 3 major portions of dialogue in this movie alll of them with the Matrix's oldest programs. The speeches seemed quite existensial and frankly I'd have to see the film one more time to understand how the details relate to the movie.

  watching the news is disturbing, there just seems to be so little compassion or empathy.

  most of us are so spoiled and we don't even realize it!

  I feel what y'all are sayin here. In this society even the lowliest person is rasied to believe that we all can reach the greatest heights. Then as you get older and the years pass by you find out just how unfair life can be and that for most the odds are not in their favor. Still there is an awful amount of potential out there that can be harnessed for good or "doin the right thing". Yet it seems that most would rather see this potential wasted or use it to hurt others. I guess it's just one of life's mysteries.

  It's pretty simplistic and kind of discriminatory to say that all serial killers are white. Most of them tend to fit a specific profile and most likely they tend to be white males in a certain age groups. Trying to explain why that is the case can be as complex as trying to explain why people kill each other. I will say that most of the more notorious or popular serial killers tend to be white. That has more to do with the media fascination for the sensational than anything else. I mean what could be more sensational than a seemingly normal, All-American guy next door that maimes, then eats his neighbors and buries em under the floorboard.

  Why does the US call itself ALONE"America"?

  as far as i'm concerned, the united states is in north america, just like canada and mexico.

  so why do americans think "america" means only the us?

  so often i hear americans talk about the us as "america".. .

  Americans think that they ALONE are America.

  Ask an American what is the population of America, they think you mean the USA only.

  My point was to prove that Canada also is America.

  If I said Canada alone was America, now you would get mad, no???

  I'm not talking at all about the name Americans, that's something else. Thats a perfect name

  I might be wrong, but I think the USA was the first nation to establish it's independence from a colonial power. So I think that maybe a reason the term American is sometimes applied solely to ppl from the USA. I hardly think that ppl from the colonies (before their becoming independent) referred to themselves as anything other than citizens of their native countries.

  in the second study article of the june 1, 2003 watchtower, discussing how jehovah's witnesses should react when "gog of magog" (satan the devil) attacks them just before armageddon, page 21, paragraph 16 says, in part:.

  They are simply setting up the R&F for new light that will be coming later. The GB knows that they are dying off and the collective "annointed" class is also dwindling, sort of.

  Simply put the anointed have always been particularly associated with ONE group of men....the Governing Body in New York, USA. Most of those geezers are now dying off and a new group of the "other sheep" are now trying to legitimize the fact that for the first time in history (according to WTS theology) the Christian Congregation will be without the leadership of "anointed" Christians.
