Jehovah's Witnesses & "worldly" association (sad story)
by lovelylil intoday a jw friend of mine related this story to me.
she was at the park with a sister whose husband is an elder.
the elder's wife had their four year old son, an only child with her.

I was blessed with parents that would tell me " you can play with them just remember they are worldly and you can make a good witness" She would tell me "remember who you are!" My parents let me play with worldly kids after school because we were in a very small town with no other witnesses within 20 miles. Of course maybe she regrets it now that ive joined the evil slave class. I hope they dont blame themselves because i learned to think for myself:(

I work with a guy and his Babtist daughter and her husband are in the middle east preaching right now. Guess Jehovah only sends some religions over there. Frankly im glad they are not sending witnesses to the middle east, enough jw's have died already.

Matthew 10:23 Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.. When will the end of the world come? Before the gospel is preached to all the cities of Israel or after the gospel is preached to all the nations of the earth? There are three basic views of when this passage in Mathew 24:14 will be fulfilled. They are past, present and future. Of course, preterist believe that it was fulfilled by a.d. 70. Historicists believe that this passage relates to the fulfillment of the Great Commission during our current church age. Futurists believe that it will be fulfilled during the seven-years of the tribulation.

My Kingdom Hall is near extinction!!
by RULES & REGULATIONS inour kingdom hall was started in 1973 with only 3 families totaling 13 people.it grew to 85 members in the early 90's and that's because many were related to these 3 families.with older members dying,the young leaving when they reach 18, 5 divorces and many disfellowshipped,the congregation is down to 26 members.talk about low morale.

before i left my cong. in the amarillo texas area, it was down to 23 publishers and 1 Elder. Sister were running mics and the literature counter.

it was the birth of my son, who just turned 11 ... that brought me out.

My wife and I have a seven year old, and we also have a hard time talking about God. We are very vague with answers. For instance when he asked what happens to people when they die, we told him that nobody really knows but that I think that if there is a God, he loves us and he will take care of us. Truth be known, I have a hard time with alot of things I read in the bible and everytime I see a disabled child, I have a hard time believing in God. I teach him that alot of people think the bible is from God, and that it may or may not be. The one thing I never want to do is teach my son the black and white thinking I was raised in. The fact is, We just dont know and nobody does! A book that you may or may not want to read is "jehovah Unmasked". It will change your whole concept of God. I just want him to enjoy life now without worrying about the big A or what happens after people dies. The only thing anyone knows for sure is the immediate NOW
