" I am pretty sure that's how gays and brown people were oppressed, too. Equal, but somehow different and broken."
i got a whiff of that too.
now I will step back again and watch.
why were we so suprised people did not join in droves!
what an awful message we shared......

1.jw's persuade themselves that errors, flip-flops, "corrections" and "adjustments" reflect jehovah's plan rather than the stupidity of men who are just guessing!!.
2.you can't put a rhinoceros in a shoebox.
it won't fit.
I like no. 13. Oh and 10 too. Gonna go back and read all of them carefully.
made my day watching this interview ( i have a different kind of sense of humor what can i say ) .
but notice his first statement and then later at the end he says he has no family or friends that he grew up with because he is dead to them all ...sounds familiar.

LoL, I saw the extended report on YouTube. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I wonder where Kai is now?
Found him:
wth, what is the world coming too.. std diseases are on the increase among seniors in.
retirement communities.
the percent of reported cases,.
You didn't know? Retirement homes are meat markets. No lie.
do witnesses really want to go to the meetings?
or do they just go because they feel they must to get into the new world.
or is it just peer pressure or pressure of elders?
Jws feel compelled to go. I know I did and I wasn't even baptized. One doesn't go to meeting because one necessarily wants to but because one has to. Feels great to not have that guiltly feeling of not attending meetings.
i have just joined this website and just wanted to say hello to anyone out there.
i am so nervous, after thirty odd years in the "truth" i feel as though my husband and i have just walked into a room full of smiling strangers and we are just standing here hoping to god someone will come up and speak to us.
scared and excited and hoping to wake up one morning and not wonder what we do now???
Welcome to the board.
hi people.
in all my life i have only looked in a womans handbag once.
it was close to looking at the arc of the covenant.
My hubby has to be under extreme duress to go into my handbag. If he needs something out of there he'll bring the bag to me so I can find it.
it's occurred to me that i have been reshaped by the books i have read, taking my new knowledge for granted, and forgetting that those around me have not been on the same journey.
as a consequence sparks fly, as iron sharpening iron, as we strive to understand each other (or to insist that we are not the same).
there are a few books that stand out, as i refer to them over and over again.
" mrs jones did you read "the psychopath test" book?"
If you mean the book I spoke about, not yet. Two days ago I read an article by said author, now I want to read his book.
i have a new poll at jwfacts.mobi/pollsarchive/ as i am very interested to see what people have moved on to believe.
as this is considered sensitive by some, you can answer anonymously at the jwfacts.mobi/pollsarchive/, or answer on this thread.
this is what i have created in the list, but feel free to add comments, corrections, or options i have missed.. .

Recently I was in Walmart with three of my kids. Turned around and there was my mother and father (both jws). My mother said to my kids "Did you know your grandfather just had a birthday?!" Wth are my kids supposed to say to that? Happy birthday? Yeah right. I watched my kids faces with mild amusement because I know they know my parents don't celebrate birthdays and have never acknowledged the birthdays of their only grandkids. My kids were nice about it. Didn't say "Happy Birthday" tho'.
