Poetry is a wonderful way to express your deepest thoughts, many times when I was really down, even depressed when I knew I was going to leave org. I wrote poetry. It was actually the best I had ever written. I totally appreciate poetry written by others. It's a great way to vent your inner feelings. I enjoyed your poem.

What Are The 3 Worst Things in Your Life
by teenyuck insince we are listing the best 3 things in life, i thought it would be interesting to list 3 things that you did and regret or things that are/were the worst in your life.
1. lack of friends growing up a jw; there just were not any.
no one liked jw's.

1- having to go to my dad's funeral, it was hard because I never grew up with him, but whenever I saw him, I stuck to him like glue. I truly loved him.
2- being with my mother, she was aggresive, and not very loving
3- the death of both of my grandparents - I loved them dearly.

I believe the situation in this story was this family was moving to a knew location, to start their lives as JW, but I understood by news media, that they were not yet JW family, but I could be wrong. That is very sad though for this to happen to them.

Christmas and other Holidays?
by lv4fer inhow can you go back to celebrating the holidays after you leave the organization.
don't you still feel that they are pagan?
-

It took me 4 years to get the courage to celebrate Christmas, only because I was afraid someone from KH might see them and talk about me or say things like Satan lives over your door as my beloved mom said, but now I am over that, and celebrate all the time. It's great I love doing it. Same goes for birthdays etc. Life is to short not to have fun anymore. I say LIVE IT UP.

There's no gossip like a JW
by target ini recently admitted to a jw back in wisconsin that we no longer go to meetings.
i told her that we have not disassociated but we do not think of ourselves as jws anymore.
i had been close friends with this person since 1974. .

DOES NOT SURPRISE ME ONE LITTLE BIT. Just ride in a car out in service, and time goes real quick, listening to the conversations. To this day my sister gossip's about me, all I have to do is listen to other family members, and wonder how they got certain information about my personal life. Well isn't she an outstanding example to follow.

I am really enjoying this story, had no idea what some elders were like, but I can think of a few like Elder A. Teejay what a loving, caring and supportive family you have, to think that your daughter would not shun you if df good for her to stand her ground. That's what true love really is.

Will you go to the memorial
by freeborg ini have never missed a memorial in 20 years of being a jw, but this year will be the first one i miss because i refuse to set foot in any kingdom hall.
i was wondering how many that post here will attend the memorial and if so why?.
do you feel pressured into going by family or friends?.
