March in Opposition?
by comforter inwe regret the abuse of young children whether inside outside god's organization.
but marching against jehovah is not the answer to these problems.
those who oppose god will never suceed.

I strongly believe that the march is not against God, but against the evil people who mistreated young children. God taught us to love, not to hurt, to love especially our children. So why would he go along with the abuse that was put upon our children. Children are precious to God. So you see the evil was in fact done by men and women who abuse such little ones. Such people who do such acts of violence to young ones should be exposed, and the WTS has tried for years to hide the actions of such abusers. This has nothing what-so-ever to do with God! Do you really think that when the day of judgement comes, God will protect such evil people, who have commited such evil acts against innocent children? Not likely!
To ALL who are taking part in the MARCH (KICK BUTT!)

Serious Pet Peeves
by patio34 indon't mean to be gripey, but would like to vent about two observations i've made lately:.
1) a mother whose child wouldn't follow her soon enough at the grocery store.
she said "okay, goodbye!

Pet Peeve:
People who hack and spit on the sidewalk, most of the time just as I am looking out my window, some person walking by spits on the sidewalk, just makes me want to puke, and guys please do that kind of thing in the toilet, not the sink. Some people have weak stomachs for such things.
And yes it is not pleasant when it is a ladies time of the month to find wrappers and other things left behind in a waste basket, that is not descarded properly, please ladies no one likes to see those type of things.

This news is truly shocking, what a tradgedy, what a total loss to a young life. My sympathy goes out to Adele, (hugs) Celtic you are truly to be commended for your support and help you tried to give this young girl. A very sad situation. I am sure many here feel upset at an org. that would cause a person to take their own life. I know I am.

The desire to return just for family's sake
by Ephanyminitas inthose of you who have close witness family members -- how hard has it been not to just throw up your hands and just return to the society, just for appearance's sake?
my parents, whom i love very much, are witnesses, and it's very difficult for me to go day to day knowing that i'm completely letting them down.
i no longer believe anything the society says, but oh how tempting it would be to just go back and fake my way through, knowing that i could give my parents peace.

I may have thought about going back, but as time goes by, the solid answer, would be no. I no longer want to be part of an org. that teaches love, then turns their back on people, especially family, my relatives who are still in the org. are the ones who are missing out on knowing me as a person, the love that I have for them, and if they chose to do that, then that is their decision. I neither have the time or patience to worry about people who do not give to hoots for me. They miss out, now my life goes on. I have friends, and my own family to concentrate on. Sure the feelings come back periodically, then I talk with my hubby and he sets my mind to ease, and back on the right track so to speak. As for them, I hope they are happy and content with their own lives. I have one Aunt who is still a JW and refuses to cut me off, I love her dearly for having her own mind, and doing what she wants, rather than doing what they tell her. So you see, she gets my love, and they get a big fat nothing.

You have a good point here outoftheorg: If one does go to a gathering, and seems saddened by the fact that her/his JW relatives have that kind of effect on them, then they the JW's win, win, win, they have accomplished their point "If I shun you, you will be miserable." If you go in there and have fun with everyone else, and show that you are truly happy, and shun them, then they may be the ones who are miserable, because they did not get the reaction they expected. Some just chose not to go to such gatherings as it may be just to uncomfortable, others can handle better.
I have on occasion had the opportunity to shun them rather then them getting the jump on me, and it does irretate them to no end. They back off real quick.
