Ick. I hate to say it, but this is a little like coming back to a class reunion and realizing exactly what idiots the popular people were. God I can't believe they teach that dribble. Blech.

Not your typical blonde joke....
by Scully intwo bored casino dealers are waiting at the craps table.. an attractive blonde from st john's, newfoundland arrived and bet twenty-thousand dollars ($20,000) on a single roll of the dice.. she said, "i hope you don't mind, but i feel much luckier when i'm completely nude.".
with that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "come on, baby, mama needs new clothes!
" as the dice came to a stop she jumped up and down and squealed... "yes!

finding my way
You are mistaken if you think the Church of Christ is Non-Denominational. It is one of the larger denominations of "orthodox" christianity. It is bible based and one of the more fundamental groups around. It comes out of the same roots as the Disciples of Christ (Christian Churches). The Christian Churches are much more liberal, however. The Churches of Christ typically don't have instrumental music or organized missionary societies. It might be a good stopping place for someone just coming out of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Navigator, I think the church she mentions is an autonomous church. (See the weblink she provided.) Perhaps you're confusing her church with the LDS? Yes, they are a fundamental group, but they are a different church with a different site: www.lds.org Andi

I'm not buying it! That people left the Witnesses and became Christians.
by free2beme ini tried it, could not swallow all the lies and misinformation they had.
i am sorry, but even if you deny the whole witness faith, there is still parts to christianity that they pointed out that you can not just ignore and act like it is okay to join another faith that is christian.
are you going to become catholic when your know their history?

Interestingly enough, those JayDubs who embrace another religion after they leave the WTBTS or are shunned, their number one bondage of choice is the Muslim religion. After that, the Jewish religion. Then the Mormons. Among Americans, the Mormons are the most popular next religion. A step way up, since the Mormons tend to be upbeat people.
Of those people in mental institutions who stated a religious preferance, JayDubs are Numero Uno. I wonder why.
THAT NATE GUYI would love to know the source of where you get your "facts". They are facts, right? You state them as so.

(((((freedom lover))))))) Nothing as wonderful as freedom comes without a price. I know it's hard, but the price for me was worth it. No, my family and I are estranged and rarely see each other. But KNOWING without a doubt that I'm LIVING truth gives me a clean conscience, which is what I think God wants for all of us. No matter what obstacles we come up against, if we can be true to ourselves and Truth, then isn't it worth it?

I would be your friend, but your not important enough.
by free2beme ini love these type of people, because they are so easy to see through.
you know the type, they meet you and they're all nice and all, but because your not important enough they don't really want to be your friend.
in fact, they probably got introduced to you by someone who is important and to make that person happy they give you five minutes of conversation or maybe listen to a thought or two, and then they are off to the next person and your nothing.

I couldn't stand it when my fellow single friends dumped me when they got married. No responses to calls or emails, though they strangely had plenty of time for their other married friends...
I hated it when that happened too! When I got married I made it a point to stay in touch with my single friends. I'm still good friends with some of them and they still aren't married, some to choice. I'm not saying this about you, but I also realized through this that some of them were really selfish. ALL they ever talked about was getting married and how lonely they were and did I have someone I could set them up with? I don't remember being that obsessed with getting married, so it grated on my nerves a bit. I wish I could tell them to relax and quit obsessing and the husband might come along. AND the only time I heard from them was when they wanted something from me. They never called to say, "Hi how're things going?" It was always, "Hey haven't talked to you in awhile, could you help me...". Got very annoying.

I would like to have a church to go to on Christmas this year. The first Christmas I am celebrating in 11 yrs and our kids first one that they will remember. I want them to feel the happiness that comes from a beautiful service and also the joy of singing praise to God. I love to sing especially in a large group of people. I suspect that part of why I want to find a church is so when I get the urge to praise God in song I don't seem like a crazy person.
Andrea,
If you're just looking for a Christmas service that's beautiful to attend, then I recommend a Catholic Christmas Eve midnight/candlelight mass. Although I'm not Catholic, there is a beauty and reverance about a Christmas Mass that is unequaled in any other church I've attended. I love it!
