Anyone know of people claiming to be Satan?
by eclipse inthere are people who have claimed or who to claim to be jesus.. i am ignorant of any news about people claiming to be satan.. i'll do my own research but if anyone knows any incidences off the top of their head?
please share.... the threads on satan made me wonder about the phenomenon of people taking on this superior identity..

the Daily-Dedicate-a-Song-to-a-Special-Someone Thread
by Crumpet inrather than hijack another thread and inspired by fullofdoubtnow and dedpoets music for the wedding thread i thought i would start a little "dedications" thread - this isn't the sort of dedication symbolised by dunking though!.
(i expect to see ggbg and ofg here forthwith for some romantic dedications).. i'd like to dedicate the following to someone special - "bodies - by drowning pool" .
they probably wont see this, but the thought that counts!.

haha - Ninja - first time I noted your response just above - a thread to slash your wrists too...I think of it more as the alternative form of self expression and to that end I am rescusitating it because I feel a need.
Kaiser Chiefs - Every Day I Love You less and less (I am converted some of the words to fit my situation better and also to reflect that I am trying to employ reverse psychology on myself even though I know the album wasnt entitled Employment for that reason. (i've put in red anything I have changed out of loyalty to the band).

Its really good to hear from you Xena. Walking barefoot on the beach sound gorgeous. From what I hear mostly you just missed a lot of rain in Texas and now Hemp babe says its just an oven when they walk out the door and they cant wait for it to cool down. I think Bethany will be very popular at school - all the girls will want to be here best friend. Tell her I wish her a really easy first day and I am sure it will be!

Its not free - you pay half for dental care if you can get on a welfare state practice surgery. I cannot - therefore I just had check up and xrays which took 30 minutes and it cost me $200. Health insurance - well we pay National Insurance that gets deducted automatically from our wages which takes about 15% of your wages each month whether you want it to or not and whether you go to the doctors or not. However I do feel grateful for this system, despite the fact as free2think says many people cannot get surgery for urgent conditions and have to wait years for a life saving operation and well they dont make it. If you dont earn a lot of money you are screwed. Private health insurance costs too much for people like me - its a system that definitely benefits the rich.
Are your tuition fees below 2,000 pounds? I saw a bit on the BBC World where Students were PROTESTING fees "jacked" up to around 1,200 pounds??? Was I hearing that number wrong? Was it only for certain schools? It would be so unheard of cheap to me!!
It depends on how much your parents earn. If your parents are below $50K a year I think you can get a grant - a scholarship. I have never been able to afford to go to school since I left the free education service which finishes at age 16 as I have been living alone since then. I am currently studying whilst working full time - so my week is a 60 hour week or more combining work and education. I pay per term depending on the course. If I wanted to study law I'd be looking at about $4K per 6 month term. I am studying Criminology and Psychology and this is $1450 per term - not per year. However because I have never had any educational assistance from the government and because I earn very little I get a grant which contributes towards half the fees.
Are your petrol costs the equivalent of 6$, around 3 pounds, or are they 6 pounds, around $12??
I;ve never been able to afford to drive so I wouldnt know.

Yuck, thank god I dont have to eat at any of those. I try not to eat at chains except for pizza anyway because I prefer a chefs individuality in the food. I like to be able to look into the kitchen - talk to my chef and learn from him. You cant do that at chains and the food is just ready made.
What's your favourite American t.v. show, if any?
Here is where America comes into its own. SOme of your drama and comedy the last few years has deserved every accolade its received. HBO are a sterling example of producing new characters, stories and superlative dialogue. You should be proud. I love CSI, Carnivale and Deadwood when they were on, Rescue Me, Six Feet Under, Boomtown, The L Word.

I say good riddance. They bore the pants off me. Its pitiful to watch Victoria's desperation and embarrassing. I'll never understand people who are desperate to be that famous.

by Simon in... manchester city near the top of the premiership.. over the course of the season we normally slide down, have a bit of a flirt with the relegation zone and then pull ourselves up a bit and decide next year wil be the year of the comeback.. it was a good start though.
i wonder if we'll actually stay up there this year now we have some new players and manager?
(i didn't rate him for england but as a club manager he has a good record arbeit by spending a lot of money).. .

No I would not marry someone with a cold sore, regardless of how much I loved them.
The second I saw it I would dump them, force them to move out, start taking showers 3-4 times a day, picket both her house and her parents, start a website for survivors of cold sore abuse and lobby the government to remove the citizenship of any people confirmed to have this plague.
Should the government be unresponsive to my demands for purity I would create my own political party "ClearLips of America" and run for office. If defeated, I would solicit funding for a revolution and try to overthrow democracy with force.
Either that or I would get over my shallow hangups and marry her if I loved her.
One of the two, it's a toss up.Paripallion - this is sooo funny. Thanks for making me laugh - I needed that. I get cold sores every few years when I get really run down, but zovirax usually stops them getting to that unsightly stage if applied immeditaely. I also use the compeed patch.

We've been invited to a JC
by besty infor those of you don't know our story sweet pea and i stopped attending all meetings quite abruptly about 4 months ago.
since then we have had a few ill-advised conversations with jw friends and family stating our reasons - sometimes in emails.
also sp emailed a new friend on another forum her experiene with going to a new church.
