I secretly kept my limited edition CD single of Kiss's "Unholy". It is still my favourite song to listen to when getting ready to go out on the raz!

And you are more likely to get derailed on a train and die than you are to be involved in an accident flying. And the food is cheaper on planes than trains. Our trains are just pants to be honest unless you can afford first class!

Every time I got disfellowshipped I bought Metallica, Gun n Roses Use Your Illusion 1 & 2 (Get In the Ring is a particular fave of mine) and Alice Cooper. Everytime I got reinstated or was on the way to reinstatement I destroyed them. Thats three times in all! Those artists are raking it in from me! LOL!

Guess what Easyjet will fly you from Newcastle to Bristol and that is derfinitely the quickest way. Flight takes just over an hour and can cost as little as £65 return. www.easyjet.com. Then you just have a half hour train journey to BBQ land. You won;t see as much of Britian travelling this way but its by far the quickest. 8 hours by bus is utterly miserable and you travel mainly on motorways so you can't see any countryside anyway. You must prebook the flight though.
Good luck! and bon voyage

My wife is getting baptized on the 19th!
by Check_Your_Premises inmy wife is getting baptized on the 19th.. i wrote her a letter today.

She would be disfellowshipped if the elders found out that she had authorised a blood transfusion. There is barely a sin against the borg that is considered worse.

This may help arm you also. This is the book which is issued to all elders called Pay Attention to Yourselves and to the Flock. It is a secret book and the average JW is not allowed to see it. Send an email to [email protected] and they will send you a copy. Here is the link to the site http://quotes.watchtower.ca/pay_attention.htm. If you read this then you will know exactly how the elders are instructed to deal with your wife. It might just help you to be one step ahead. It also has a chapter on disfellowshipping and what crimes merit it.

You can only get the elders to make her wait if there is suspicion she has broken one of the rules - which normally involves "serious" sin of some kind, so that could be upsetting for your wife, espcially if she ever found out it had anything to do with you. If she has engaged in oral sex with her husband, which is strictly prohibited, as is anal sex - that could prove sufficient grounds for them to say she cannot get baptised..

What planet is this woman from? She will have to shun her children if they get baptiseed and then get disfellowshipped! If they are trying to tell her anything else then they are bare-faced liars. I know! I was baptised and am disfellowshipped and have not had interaction with my family since I was 16 except to be informed of family funerals and when I was trying to get reinstated. Its a fact. She has no idea what an enormous mistake she is making! I will NEVER get over being parted from my parents and my two little sisters who were still at school when I had to leave. It pains me every single day and I often wake up crying because I dream of them. My parents are not allowed to speak to me at all. They wouldnt know me if they passed me in the street.
Sorry I'm ranting - but this upsets me so much - that newcomers are deluded with platitudes and told that the disfellowshipping isnt like it is and it is played down. It is ouright deception and enrages me. It realluy does. Sorry I can't offer amnything more constructive than this, my friend. I wish that you wife would be able to open her mind which sounds as if it has now been indoctrinated so well that it is closed to all other possibilities and cut off her ability to question and think for herself.
Will she read any of the comments on this site perhaps?
My heart goes out to you - I hope that your relationship survives this. It will be so hard on you - her commitment and obedience is first to the organisation now and you as the unbelieving husband will come way down on her list of priorities.
