by Englishman inwhen i was a kid and being forced to sit through hours of jw gobbledygook at the kh, i was always disconcerted by the "witnessy" language that was in use.. looking back now, i can see that having a private language, a language that only makes sense to the in crowd, is just one way in which devotees are bound into jw life.. i`ve recently been intrigued to come across some new and previously unknown phrases.
this occurred during a lively dicussion with a jw who felt that it was ok to talk to me as he had his very own "private pipeline to jehovah".. i`d just finished telling him how pleased i was that i had bailed out prior to 1975, when he said the following (in bold) phrases which he used over and over again:.
let me tell you, young man, that i am a servant of the most high god jehovah!

divided families
by Blackcat inwhy is it that even though your not disfellowshipped or dissasociated and you start questioning the things you thought where truth about the org.
your so-called family members avoid you like the plague?.i find it quite comical to see how different they treat you, leaving the "truth" and keeping your mouth shut they can handle, but once you start questioning the so-called faithful and discreet slave, all hell breaks loose !!!
i,ve been accused of being anti-witness,apostate (which i dont mind) and been told that i,ve spat in the face of jah all because i have openly expressed my opinions about the org.

At least i know there a thousands out there who feel the same way i do (thanks to this board) and my brother-in-law is currently having major doubts himself, i think my copy of coc by king Ray has had a bit of an effect!! but the way the jws avoid you is oh so funny.I,ll keep laughing, after all they do,nt listen so you might aswell have a good chuckle at them !!!!

Is There Something Sinister At The KH?
by Englishman inever since i departed the jw`s, i have pooh - pooh`d the idea of satan, devils, demons, witches and warlocks and laughed at jw paranoia re smurfs and demonised objects etc etc.. just recently, i have had some thoughts as to why jw`s are so obsessive about this subject, suppose that:.
what if the jw religion were itself of satanic origin?

when i was a young 8 or 9yr old, i can remember a sister in the congregation confiding to my mother that she was having a pleasurable sexual experience (shall we say)with her non-witness husband, when she realised that her husband was on night shift and she was the only person in the house..and told my mum that she had been raped by a demon!! so at least we know that they can reach parts that others cannot reach!! (and yes i was a nosey little s"*T when i was a kid)!

Holidays

hi eyes-opened, been out of the org. 12 yrs, and for the first 7 never celebrated birthdays and christmas etc. but once i become a dad that all changed (even though i was riddled with guilt).Your mind is so brainwashed in the org. its hard to enjoy a normal life at first until you realise that making your childrens life magical and enjoyable as much as possible is the most important thing while they are young, and if it involves birthdays etc. SO WHAT...

is it a miracle?
by Blackcat inrecently, in a debate with my self-righteous uncle come elder, i tried to tell him about the jimmy swaggert case involving the charging of literiture, and he said the production of magazine,s etc.
was a miracle from jehovah, is it safe to tell him that some countries still charge for literiture, and if so which ones ??
is it only countries that conflict with wtbs paying tax ?

to Simon, remember the season when 15,000 red & whites arrived at maine road, you lot beat us 3-2 and sent us down..... oh how times change.. by the way i was counselled for missing field service that day to watch sunderland they just don,t understand do they them no-life elders.

hi englishman! from another englishman, felt exactly the same as your kid brother... me and my brother both hated everything connected with meetings,field service, giving talks, counselled of elders etc. etc. etc.both decided to leave around the same time and decided to get A LIFE!!!! felt guilty for the first 5 yrs after leaving then could,nt give a monkey's about the witnesses until i got online and now i,m more interested and surprised to learn a lot more about the so called "truth" than expected.
