The WTS and Holidays

So well put, Maverick! I enjoyed my thanksgiving dinner yesterday with my husband's 'worldy' family. It felt so good to be relaxed and not feel guilty for enjoying myself with those who are not jw's.

Before You Leave The Witnesses, You MUST Make New Friends!!!
by minimus inmy advice to anyone that is thinking of leaving the "organization" is to make friends (real friends) with people other than jehovah's witnesses.
the sad truth is that jws are only conditional "friends".
they will drop you like a hot potato if they think you want to leave.

Wish Me Luck
by Englishman intoday i visit the hospital for my pre-operative check up.
if i'm found to be fit and healthy once more, then i will be admitted back into wsm general in 2 weeks time to get reconnected.. which will mean goodbye to the bag and hello to my a**!
just in time for christmas.. it's something to with be able to withstand anasthesea.

Another reason to hate the WTS.

that no matter how much you think you've put it all behind you... it still comes up and smacks you over the head every now and then.

CG, I hope she'll wake up and open her eyes so that she's not blind any longer to what love really is. I know it must've hurt some. It is her loss. One day, she might realize how much pain shunning can cost. And hopefully she'll learn to stop judging...that really is not her place.

Jehovah Help Me Find My Keys!!! In Jesus Name Amen
by frankiespeakin ini remember as a jw asking jehovah many time to find my keys so i wouldn't be late for field service or work.
sometimes i had to ask 2 or 3 time but it never failed.
jehovah always made sure i found those keys.

Sad how the WTS depresses people by this. Tell you to pray to God for help getting a bible study, and when it doesn't get fulfilled, leave you feeling like it's due to a fault of your own.
So true. They ask you, "did you do this, or that"...."well maybe you should've tried harder yourself". It's always something. Don't they realize that pushes people away?
