by bigdreaux inokay, as most of you know, my sisters and brother in law are in town for a wedding.
the girl getting married is a really good friend of mine.
we kind of sorta dated, but, since she was not scriptually free, and i wasn't about to wait for that, nothing ever really came of it.

Demon Experiences
by gumby ini believe that in the past i've started threads about ghosts and such but i haven't started one about me asking others if they have had a personal experience with a demon.. a couple of days ago i was talking to my dub son-in-law about how i wish i could believe in the unseen....such as ghosts, the paranormal, or anything out of the ordinary.. he said to me......"well what about demon stories"?
he related some stories that were given at an assembly from some who were greatly bothered by demons, mostly from africa.. so, what are we to make of those with such stories?
are they lying?

During my 3rd year as a study, I would hear the weirdest noises from the baby monitor as I tried to sleep. The red light would move left and right, which it did when noises were made in the room. I thought for sure there were demons. I would rush in the kids' room to see or hear nothing. Eventually, I threw out the monitors and didn't replace it. It was very scary for me. A few months later, I got on Zoloft and slept well, demon free.
From personal experience, as soon as you tell yourself there are no demons out there, guess what? Right! They simply disappear.
Very true.

So non-creationist - what do you think of those who still accept creation?
by AK - Jeff inno firestorms please.
but be honest.
do you think that we are of a lower level of intelligence than those who accept evolutionist' theories?.

In a way, I'm glad I am since the thought of their being no real purpose to life scares the hell out of me.
I appreciate your honesty.
The evolutionists want "proof" for everything. They want those who believe in God to "prove" it. They want believers to either present God to them on a platter, or in a jar.
All I'm asking for, is the same "proof".
The 'proof' of evolution is a process over many years. 'Godproof' is something different, and ought to be a "BAM! In your face" thing. (I'm smiling)
Love,
L

The universe and everything in it is just too awesome to believe all this happened by chance.
"Chance" as in not from 'God', you mean? I think that's pretty sad. Sorry, that may sound offensive-it's not personal to you or anyone. I thought that way as a jw study.
I also think it's SO awesome that this beautiful universe did happen on its own. The appreciation is like nothing I ever felt as a creationist.

Do You Think "God" Cares For You At All?
by minimus indo you have any relationship with god at all?
do you believe god cares about you?

lonelysheep
LMAO at your responses!
Growing up, wanting to believe in God meant accepting that he cares but never showed that he did, or that he was even something other than a being I was taught I should believe in and lean on. I was conditioned to then think that those who are (supposedly) in my life, yet continually absent, actually do love me. Not a good thing.

Michael Vick Indicted On DogFighting Charges!
by SWALKER init looks like there is some strong evidence, at least enough to charge him with numerous counts, including cruelty to animals.
if found guilty he could face prison time.
it's hard for me to believe that he was willing to risk his hard earned success for this dispicable behavior!

Use Catholic Abuse Settle to Attack JWs re:KN #37 & JW Abuse Cases
by Seeker4 ini was thinking earlier of how the recent mega-million dollar catholic settlement in la is an ideal opportunity, in letters to the editor in local newspapers, to highlight the hypocrisy of the witnesses in how they have handled similar abuse cases.
a couple of points that might be useful to make this applicable anywhere: .
1. in the kingdom news #37 tract distributed around the country last fall.

Also sent it now to the Courier News and the Jersey Journal.

Though remember it really isn't about Mormons!!! Its about a fictional fundamentalist cult who use LDS beliefs as a core.
