  Did anything ever actually work for those of you who went out in FS?

  I can tell you they haven't been back to my place since the last time I confidently told them I used to be one (left out that I was never dunked) and am now athiest and happy.

  What is your comfort food?

  dear fellow gourmands,.

  i have completed the polishing off of a sizeable portion of fettuccine, smothered with an ordinary tomato sauce including ground beef, lottsa herbs, extra virgin olive oil and topped with grated romano and chopped italian parsely.. therefore, i am in a state complete and utter satisfaction.

  what foods - dishes - feed your soul as well as your belly?.

  PS. They have this new pasta made out of brown rice, has anyone tried it? If it's good, there might be a chance to make a lo-cal/carb tasty mac and cheese.

  Yes, I've been buying it the last few months. It's much better in taste (to me) than whole wheat pasta. My mac and cheese I made with it was great.

  George Michael--his voice sounded like it did on his albums yet still sounded "live". He was great. Danced very well. Looks good as hell, too! Fun concert, good show.

  Prince--Fantastic! Music, dancing, singing. The best.

  Bon Jovi--always a good show

  Gretchen Wilson--She opened for Bon Jovi and was good

  Nickelback--Wonderful

  Jason Mraz-ok

  Elton John--Wonderful show!!

  My theory about the behavior and obsession of some ex-JWs

  i've had this theory for some time and alluded to it occassionally but have never explored it in detail.. it is of course a huge generalisation so no, not everyone will fit into the boxes and i'd like people's opinion.

  i don't know everyone's circumstances so it's based on a small sample of some of those i do know something about.

  it could be completely wrong, it's just an idea.. basically, i have seen a difference between some of those ex-jws who walked out vs those who were kicked out.. the most bitter and obsessive seem to be the kicked out and, i must add, those who were legitimately kicked out.

  Ozzie: I really wonder whether a lot of the posters we have seen on JWD who like to think of themselves as exJW are simply lapsed dubs?

  We've probably met many people in 'real life' are known as lapsed catholics - are they any more 'ex' than are many folk we've encountered here?

  I also have known and do know countless lapsed catholics, baptists, jews, etc. That is exactly what the ex jw terminology for "fader" equates to--a lapsed jw. In that cult, you're looked down upon for being lapsed, but it still is the same.

  Is It Me Or Are The Males of Today More Feminine and/or Nerdy Than Ever B4?

  when i turn on the tv, i see so many fem men that i'm realizing that a 'manly" man seems to be a relic of the past.. metrosexuals rule the world now.supersensitive males who are in touch with their feminine side are the norm.. the john waynes & burt reynolds have been replaced with ryan seacrest lookalikes.. ladies, do you find these metrosexuals all that attractive?

  Yes, I do. The goodlooking, lazy priss can only go so far though. Signs of a hard worker are sexy. I am more likely to look at the man who looks a bit grimy, needs a hair wash and shave and looks somewhat unkept.

  i read the above articles this morning regarding a guy who was ordered by a court to pay his ex-fiance $150,000 for backing out of a marriage.

  The thing to do is form a personal corporation, then use that to marry. A corp limits your liability.

  Ha ha!

  That is how I now view marriage-as a business-and why I see no reason to do it. I understand that people view it differently.
