  once you realize how much bondage you were under....it's easy to feel good not having the weights of man made rules.

  it's very liberating for me to tell people that i no longer associate with the jw religion----very liberating!!

  We walked out of my mom's memorial service

  my brother, my sister, myself, xena and those with us walked out when we were called aside and asked not to attend the reception after the memorial.. more details to follow....... timb

  Sort of what Mulan is saying, but could it be that if the 'No Blood' card is replaced by a more generalised end of life form then when they change their NO BLOOD stand in a few years, or whatever, all those people who have died or refused treatment and died because of the prohibition on blood, they will then not be sued by the deceaseds relatives.

  Are you confused dear?

  Some of my best friends were JW's and all my relatives still are.

  There's hope yet to save them from a life time of misery and this is the place to learn how to gain your freedom from lies and help others to do the same. I view JWD as a replacement for the theocratic ministry school. These poor people, (JW's) need help!!!

  do you remember all the hype about the "paradise" and then the natural questions that followed that no one has answers to... like,.

  "will we have cars in the new system?

  " - uh, well jehovah will provide us with whatever we need.

  Hi Hondo,

  The Watchtower society can convince its members of anything, including that the sky's pink if it wanted to because those who are still witnesses are brainwashed at five meetings a week and regular study and field service. Those who have left, no matter how they argue it still have a tiny splodge of their brain's screaming out at them, no matter how much they ignore it or deny it, what if it's true and Armageddons about to happen!!!!!

  The story is told in such a simplistic and genuinely believed way that people are lulled into a brainwashed, unthinking submissiveness.

  I believe, when you read all of our stories and comments here from ex JW's the reason they are so humerous is that we are all laughing at ourselves and not just the WTBTS, and laughing at how we could have been so stupid.

  But the brainwashing is thorough, and no matter how much we come to realise that we were living a total brainwashed lie a tiny bit of it still remains even when we are finally free.

  If somebody tells you something, in the case of say a baby and young child and through their life, over and over again, that person will BELIEVE it. And in the case of someone who is just looking for hope and answers and want something good, they will believe it also.

  It's just Brainwashing, plain and simple.

  These people WANT a new system because life IS bloody hard and so they want to BELIEVE.

  But that's just my opinion.

  Hilarious rumours!!!

  when my father stepped down from being an elder in the congregation, due to him wanting to spend more time with the family, a lot of people were very curious as to why he did.

  the shocking rumour started going around as to the reason why- my dad had been caught having gay sex in a car with another brother, and they were caught in the act by a pioneer sister in the congregation!.

  on hearing the gossip dad actually couldn't speak for a whole 1/2 hour!

  Now you're making me worried here!

  We stopped attending three years ago, and for the first few months there was pretty constant harrassment from elders etc.. then it all suddenly stopped and people started crossing the street if they saw us and ignoring us.

  Well, what ever it was I hope it was something 'juicy'.
