Watchtower in NY By Law has to turn in Pedo-Files

does this prove beyond any doubts that the watchtower's entire list of pedophiles names, in brooklyn headquarters, has to be turned over to appropriate law enforcement officials?

by their failure to do so, is not the wts clearly breaking the law?

SYN, You may now go to the threds I made since I allways go back and add more explanations and support to my reason since making the topic. I am back to college after summer break and I have less time to spend on chat.

Good support on this thred as well. Allways get both sides of the coin, yin and the yang haha. I just thought it was a good idea at the time since most people love to put JW's down. It was not a great thing to provide. But It could show what I was getting, two sides of reasoning. The ruffled feathers part was alot kinder and does not belong with the first choice of who am I topic.

Some people think there are no bad without good and no good without the bad. I know there is only one way to please the creator. Hope everyone at least tries to be good. That is all God want's us to do.

The counsel to remain without spot from the world does not give Christians any basis for considering themselves superior to others. Those who fear Jehovah hate "self-exaltation." (Proverbs 8:13) Galatians 6:3 states that "if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deceiving his own mind." Those who feel superior deceive themselves because "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."-Romans 3:23.

It was at a time when there was "no one like [Job] in the earth, a man blameless and upright." (1:8)

i have read many opinions about jw's being a cult.a dictionary describes cult as a system of religious beliefs and ritual .. some have viewed even major religions as a cult, such as the roman catholic church.based upon webster almost anybody or anything that is viewed as ritualistic could be said to be cultic.when someone tries to negate jehovah's witnesses by using.

the "cult" word, i believe they are not seeing that many others could legitimately be regarded as a cult or at least "cultic".therefore the word loses alot of meaning.

some have said that the watchtower is a cult because of the control factor.

Many more doctors obstain from blood as well for medical reasons. Jehovah's obstain from blood since Jehovah says it is sacred. Did you want to talk more about the blood issue or more about why people think JW's are a cult?

I was just thinking the other day of why this guy went from being a JW to a priest and now a web host about cults. Maybe he got the idea from Religion and had to come up with a reason to go? Maybe he wanted some contributions since now he knows how much money comes from that?

Understanding the Lord's Prayer.

page 5 and 6.. to see the difference between having an accurate knowledge of the bible and having a passing acquaintance with what it says, let us consider what is commonly called the our father, or the lord's prayer, recorded at mathew 6:9-13.. millions regularly recite jesus' model prayer in church.

but how many have been taught its meaning, especially the first part of the prayer dealing with god's name and kingdom?

Matthew's account of the sermon is about four times as long as Luke's. Moreover, portions of what Matthew records, Luke presents as being said by Jesus at another time during his ministry, as can be noted by comparing Matthew 6:9-13 with Luke 11:1-4, and Matthew 6:25-34 with Luke 12:22-31. Yet this should not be surprising. Jesus obviously taught the same things more than once, and Luke chose to record some of these teachings in a different setting.

Modern Bibles can be understood better than any other. It would almost be like the time Jehovah confused the languages in Babylon and they had to go in seperate lands.

This took place 200 years after the flood. The Bible does not name the builders of the infamous tower of Babel. The account states: "They now said: 'Come on! Let us build ourselves a city and also a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a celebrated name for ourselves, for fear we may be scattered over all the surface of the earth.'"-Genesis 11:4.

The rulers in Babylon wanted to make a tower high enough to go to the heavens. Nimrod wanted to be a god and people did worship him at the tower of Babel. They celebrated a name for themselves and did not give praise to Jehovah. They forgot about the creator that made it possible for them to make the tower. The idea to build it was from the insane ruler at the time. Lots of people were slaves and that's what made it possible to make it at a fast rate.

Why is the New World Translation not in public shelves? Maybe becouse it is free with donation, other than that I am not too sure. It is published and translated by an Orginization that believes in Jehovah.

But thankfully, any Bible that is from the original translators can be used.

Jesus emphasized that, next to love of God, love of neighbor should govern our lives. (Mathew 22:34-40 NWT) But has any group of people ever truly loved their neighbors? Early Christains did! They were noted for the love they had for others. -John 13:34, 35.

What about today? Is Christlike love practiced by anybody? The Encyclopedia Canadiana observes: "The work of Jehovah's Witnesses is the revival and re-establishment of the primitive Christianity practised by Jesus and his disciples...All are brothers."

I am sure that Jehovah's Witnesses are not the ONLY ones that feel this way. Any bible reading is better than no bible reading. A modern translation using the Christian Greek or Hebrew scriptures will do.

The more brothers and sisters I have the better. Making Satan a liar will enough reward.

Fortunately I had a reply that came from a reader of the Bible and it was not the New World Translation. It is the last sentence of that post by NewWay. That is what I hope to be called.

DNA and the Dead Sea Scrolls

Deciphering the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls began shortly after their discovery in the Judean desert in 1947. So far, about 15 scrolls have been translated. Remaining are some 10,000 thumbnail-size fragments from hundreds of other scrolls. Piecing the fragments together has proved frustrating. The edges are too decayed to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, and since each fragment contains only a few characters, they cannot be linked by meaning. Now, according to the International Herald Tribune, science is coming to the rescue. How? The writing was done on animal skins, so DNA-typing can identify the species, herd, and individual animal each fragment came from. This, scholars hope, will make it easier to classify and match the fragments.

Please give me time to look for the scholars that this magazine writes about in the International Herald Tribune. Thank you for taking time to ask me these questions. I hope to find some evidence from our planet and home, Earth.

I desperately need a WT bible!

i am not currently a jw but i really want to do some private study of your bible.... i live in a remote area of yorkshire and there are no kingdom halls about.

are there any websites (that deliver to the uk) where i can order a wt bible in the hope of becoming a jw in the future?.

All Bibles are used when giving bible education. The New World Translation is written in modern English. The first one written around 1950 but others can be used from the Greek and Hebrew scriptures inspired by God. The Library can also give much history to the reader.

A face to face personal bible study threw the holy spirit can help someone understand. A prayer for understanding would be included in the bible study for those desperately wanting the truth.
