After WW1, this song came out. I seem a correlation of now that jws have had meetings on Zoom, will they go back to the KH buildings: "How Ya Gonna Keep 'em Down on the Farm (After They've Seen Paree?)" is a World War I song that rose to popularity after the war had ended. The lyrics highlight concern that soldiers would not want to return to their family farms after experiencing the European city life and culture of Paris during World War I.

In the Bible Questions Answered publication:
"The Bible foretold that pestilences (widespread diseases, including pandemics) would occur during the last days. (Luke 21:11) " (Bible Questions Answered (ijwbq) Also Revelation 6:8.
Pestilence, that is, widespread epidemics of infectious disease, is also part of the sign given by Jesus.

Pants and women in the WTS
WT 1952 October 1, QFR 607-608 "At Deuteronomy 22:5 the Bible is not dealing with fashions or fretting over styles, but apparently it is here forbidding persons of one sex from wearing the clothing of the opposite sex for purposes of deceit, to appear of the opposite sex, to hide the true facts. Men should not try to deceitfully dress like women to hide the fact that they are men, nor should women try to dress in men’s clothes to hide the fact that they are women. Being more specific, the Bible seems to be striking a blow against the sin of sodomy. It was a disgrace for a woman’s hair to be shorn like a man’s, and it was a dishonor for a man’s hair to be allowed to grow long like a woman’s. (1 Cor. 11:6, 14) The woman was not to appear masculine by having short hair like a man’s or by wearing clothes like a man’s. It might suggest to others that she was available for unnatural sex uses." Likewise the man. If he wore long hair like a woman’s or garbed himself in women’s clothes he would certainly appear effeminate and open to propositions from men for unnatural sex use. So it is this deeper meaning with sodomy in view, and not a mere switching of clothes in itself, that brings this practice under prohibition and makes it deserve the severe judgment: “Whoever doeth so is an abomination to Jehovah thy God.”
But in 1984 the WTS this (7/15 WT p. 25) Similarly, in some parts of the earth today, both men and women wear slacks, though the styles differ for each sex. The principle in this text would not rule out a Christian woman’s wearing slacks sometimes, as when working around the house or on a farm. And according to local custom and necessity, slacks may be the desired attire in very cold climates.

I had a hard time wondering how I would handle this, I know I would take a blood transfusion if I saw its benefits to prolonging my life but I have a DNC (do not resuscitate) on my HC POA. I give blood every 8 weeks, and have for 15 years. I researched and found that the hemoglobin-based products the WTS is a conscience matter whether to take them, and were made out of expired human blood or animal blood, I realized how hypocritical the WTS was being in this matter. I do believe the WTS has clarified that jws cannot take hemoglobin-based products made with expired human blood or animal blood. Probably read my comments on here, maybe. Each person jw or non-jw has to make their own personal decision as to how they will choose to handle blood products. It is your life that is at risk. Also, I made sure I updated my HC-POA to reflect I accept blood transfusions, filed with my HMO, doctors/specialists I see, and the clinic I go to and had them acknowledge in writing that the new one is on file. Also, under the HIPAA laws in the US, keeping medical records out of the hands of people like elders, other jws, etc., is considered illegal, and can be a legal matter.

How Do You Know You Are In The Wrong Religion?
by Vanderhoven7 ini believe this list which many of us worked on needs to see the light of day again...and added to if possible.. you know you are in the wrong religion:1. when the all important question is not: "do you believe in the lord jesus christ?"....but....
"do you believe in the "faithful and discreet slave" appointed in brooklyn in 1919?"2.
when you will be refused baptism if: a. you don't believe jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bc (whereas all non-jw scholars, all encyclopedias and all history books say this event took place in 587 bc.)b.

In 2000, I realized that the WTS was not "god's organization." After researching many religions, I realized how many of the same flaws religions shared. So no other organized religions. Then I finally realized I did not need an unseen, cruel god words to guide me. I based my beliefs on how to show love others (and myself). I guess that means I am an atheist to many, but I am not an activist atheist. I am not try to get others to believe the way I do, did that already in another religion. Your points are so on the mark. It reminds me when I was a PIMO, I read Ray Franz' book, Crisis of Conscience, and I realized I was not alone in my questions and red flags. It was up and away after than.

God, Jesus, & Holy Spirit - never mentioned together in one authentic verse.

The WTS stopped using the phrase "Jehovah's Christian Witnesses" in 1986. I was told there was that a group of ex-jws copyrighted that name. Think this is their FB page and in "about" they identify themselves as to being "jehovah's Witnesses" Jehovah’s CHRISTIAN Witnesses Help Hotline PO BOX 9784, Wyoming MI 49509. We are NOT Jehovah's Witnesses.

Just to add, I did not say that Matthew 28:19 was considered a valid scripture, but that the WTS does and includes it in the RNWT. I might add, I have never found a phrase "witnesses of Jehovah" in the New Testament of the bible but rather "witnesses of Jesus." The only place I have found it is in Isaiah 43:10 where it is referring to the jews and the WTS applies it only to the anointed as being spiritual Israelites. The WTS quibbles about it now. The WTS used to say Jehovah's witnesses, and companions. Technically, non-anointed jws are not jehovah's witnesses.

PROOF Mormons have the truth
by neat blue dog indaniel prophesied that god would “set up a kingdom” that would “never be destroyed” and would “stand for ever” (daniel 2:44).
in making this prophecy, he spoke of the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints... and it will continue to progress until it has “filled the whole earth”... hundreds of thousands of people are baptized every year.
the book of mormon is being translated in many languages.

I have had extensive and deep conversations with LDS/Mormons over the years. Don't fool yourselves! Behind the curtain they are no different than giving the appearance of being closer to the "biblical" requirements. Try looking for an ex-Mormon website or discussion group, it will stun you. I have put LDS into confusion with the contradictory concocted for them statements many times. Look into it carefully, Many never been jws only see the mask they use at the door, Mormons and jws. LDS has similar problems concealing sexual abuse of minors as well.https://apnews.com/article/Mormon-church-sexual-abuse-investigation-e0e39cf9aa4fbe0d8c1442033b894660
