In the WT 2009 4/15 p. 12-13: the WTS said this officially, Is there any hope of a resurrection for a baby that dies in its mother’s womb? "Does all of this mean, then, that the Bible teaches that children who perish before birth will be resurrected? We must emphasize that the Bible does not directly answer that question, so there is no basis for humans to be dogmatic on the matter. This subject may give rise to an almost endless variety of questions. Really, though, it seems best to avoid speculation." This is the way the WTS back walks previously dogmatic statements. "Life begins at conception. Jehovah can resurrect individuals of whatever stage of life because “all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:27) But the Bible does not directly say whether he will resurrect unborn children who died in the womb.—4/15, pages 12, 13."

Miscarriage myths amongst JW
by Anony Mous inso i am having these discussions about children etc and there are witness ties and family history in these discussions.
i got the feeling having this discussion that they seemed to imply somehow it was ‘the parent’s fault’ for having a miscarriage.
whether it was domestic violence, or the mother did something wrong themselves.

Never saw that, but I kept a private one to keep track of my time in general. Some jws were always doing this to show how righteous they were. I guess they missed these words from Jesus (reporting not supporting) Matthew 6:1-4 " “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

The King of the North as you Never Heard ity Explained Before
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/w32nome-k20?si=a8bhxh5tjrkomgzq.
rather than seeing the king of the north as the final opponent of god’s people, i propose that daniel 11 points to a completely different figure.
while the watchtower society focuses on the struggle between these two kings, they overlook a third entity mentioned in verse 40, but let’s ready this verse first from the new world translation.

The org's failed last days predictions were "well meant."
by BoogerMan inw93 6/1 p. 15 par.
6 be sound in mind - the end is close - "of course, well-meaning, faithful christians in the past have sincerely tried to predict when the end would come.".
more than 140 years of a sincere & well-meaning "it's coming soon" from the org, can be swept under the carpet - nothing to see here!.

The WTS counsels its members not to "run ahead" of their god, but then says this (self-aggrandizing for sure):
WT 6/1/1997 p. 14 "In contrast with humans, who have a limited life span, Jehovah never feels pressured by time to reveal his secrets prematurely. This fact should prevent us from becoming impatient when certain Bible questions cannot presently be explained to our satisfaction. Modesty on the part of the faithful and discreet slave class, commissioned to provide the Christian household with food at the proper time, prevents it from presumptuously running ahead and wildly speculating about things that are still unclear. The slave class strives to avoid being dogmatic. It is not too proud to admit that as of now it cannot answer every question, keeping Proverbs 4:18 clearly in mind. But how thrilling to know that Jehovah, in his own due time and in his own way, will continue to reveal his secrets as to his purposes! Never should we become impatient with Jehovah’s arrangement, indiscreetly trying to rush ahead of the Revealer of secrets. How reassuring it is to know that the channel Jehovah is using today does not do so! It is both faithful and discreet." hahaha

Pinata's vs Birthday's - classic JW hypocrisy
by joey jojo ini vaguely knew that the pinata had some kind of pagan origin and i assumed that having a pinata at a jw party was frowned on by the b0rg.
however, despite its blatant pagan origins, apparently i was wrong.. the 22 september, 2003 awake states that the aztecs would smash a clay pot full of 'treasures' in honour of the god huitzilopochtli's birthday.
spanish missionaries simply switched the pot for the pinata during the christian conversion of the aztecs.

I commented on this when it first came out. Add to that the change in the understanding of "luau" not being pagan.

Luaus
I read with interest your article "Let’s Have a Hawaiian Luau." (June 8, 2002) Several years ago I attended a luau in Hawaii. I felt there were strong religious and spiritistic overtones. Even if luaus today do not involve religious or spiritistic aspects, how are they different from other celebrations that have pagan origins but simply have been adopted by modern cultures to be a family fun gathering?L. F., United States
"Awake!" responds: As noted there in our footnote on page 24, while the luau may at one time have had a connection with false religious practices, the word now has simply come to refer to a Hawaiian banquet. A specific gathering to which the word "luau" is applied may or may not be appropriate for a Christian to attend. As in all aspects of life, Christians should make decisions that will leave them with a clear conscience before Jehovah God.—1 Timothy 1:5, 19;
See June 8, 2002 Awake p. 24-27 (see footnote)
"Although the luau may originally have had some connection with false religious practices, the word has simply come to refer to a Hawaiian banquet. Many Christians may therefore conscientiously feel that they can participate."

144,000 + 1 kings
by moomanchu ini wonder why so many kings are needed for the millennial reign?
the almighty governing body says 24,000,000,000 people combined from those resurrected and the survivors of the big 'a' could make it into paradise.
that gives you 1 king for every 166,665 persons.

Rattigan350, It doesn't matter to you obviously. But then we are all individuals. My grandparents were Bible Students then (later jws in 1931) and saw the changes and left. It is not remembered much by jws today, but Rutherford's thinking like that moved them to leave the WTS. That is a reality. It shows that the WTS has been changing it's beliefs from the very beginning of that organization. I am merely reporting not supporting the WTS teachings. I see similarities today.

G.B. via NWT hijacks the kingdom for themselves!
by BoogerMan in(daniel 7:27) "then the kingdom, authority, and greatness of the kingdoms under all of heaven will be delivered to the people of the holy ones of the most high.
his kingdom is an eternal kingdom; all authorities will serve him and obey him.

"Are you already satisfied? Are you already rich? Have you begun ruling as kings without us? I really wish that you had begun ruling as kings, so that we also might rule with you as kings." 1 Corinthians 4:8 (WT 2008 1/15 p. 22) Perhaps these GB men should read the WTS own comments: "
First-century Christians were declared righteous and anointed with holy spirit for the purpose of enabling them to receive their heavenly inheritance. Their anointing did not elevate them to kingship over fellow anointed Christians while still on earth. Evidently, some early Christians lost sight of that fact and began seeking undue prominence among their brothers in the congregation. As a result, Paul was moved to ask: “You men already have your fill, do you? You are rich already, are you? You have begun ruling as kings without us, have you? And I wish indeed that you had begun ruling as kings, that we also might rule with you as kings.” (1 Cor. 4:8)

Yah, I hear you. Especially if its your children. :) Maybe, I would expect the extra people outside your family should help pay for gas, or look elsewhere for a ride, unless they really don't have the funds.
