I have found that my beliefs have changed a great deal in regard to what the WTS has taught and is teaching. It takes awhile to wash out those WT ideas, but it is important to replace them with something good and positive and healing. Reflection and carefully looking without the eyes of indoctrination. My Beliefs After Leaving the Watchtower
by KalebOutWest ini tend to keep my personal beliefs separate from my posts.. i know that is often different from others as their posts as often one and the same with their opinions.
i think that is good.
you get to learn a lot about people that way.

Reddit thread - ‘Organization Finally Suggesting to Plan for Retirement’
by LongHairGal inthis information is supposed to be in the upcoming march wt.
(i don’t go on jw dot org).
it would sound like they are hinting at a change in thinking.. in my opinion, any such change would be yet another slap in the face to faithful pimis along with those other recent changes.. there are so many heartfelt responses on that thread and a lot of justified anger.. don’t know what to say except that i’m so glad i never listened to the religion all those years ago.

St George, I agree, but you'd be surprised how many highly educated people join cults. Scientology is one good example. I have lived in a university city for years and have seen people like that become jws. Steven Hassan https://stevenhassan.substack.com/p/errant-belief-6-too-intelligent-join-cult

"instructions that aren't sound by a human standpoint"
by mikeflood inwhat could be "an instruction not sound by a human standpoint"?.
i'm going by dissolving their legal entities...any guesses?.

It always is so amazing that the WTS says "the bible does not say" and then proceeds to give an answer without any scriptural support as if their god is dropping the answer only into the GB's minds.

Why the WATCHTOWER doesn't believe in the GREAT APOSTASY but you should!
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/i4uttjj7eus?si=0b-fzpqm8axb_d3p.
in its latest april 2025 watchtower study article 17 and paragraph 12 the watchtower promotes 2 dangerous lies that will cost your life if you are a believing christian during the time of the end, so i'm considering today the first lie in the first part of the paragraph, but first let's read the paragraph itself: "today, jehovah promises to provide us with spiritual protection.
he will never allow satan to corrupt true worship.

Side point: In my WT reviews, I would refer to the falling out in Bethel in 1980/81 where Ray Franz was asked to leave Bethel (not df'd), I called it the Great Apostasy then more tongue-in-cheek. The WTS always has it own, very flexible definition of terms like that.

book 3 times:.
obeying christ’s kingdom rule, they (the great crowd) hope to inherit its blessings here on earth.

Reporting not Supporting Side point: But the Catholic church and other Christian churches teach that Jesus is both god and man at the same time, a God-man. So obvious the concept that Jesus is man and not to be worshipped, well those religions have a work around for that as does the WTS; the WTS quibbles about the Greek word used for worship many times.Long and convuluted mean to say we understand this, you won't, trust them. And the WTS teaches they are God's representatives on earth (the "anointed" on earth) (not neutralized to only the Governing Body) More like what is said about the Pope that he speaks for God. So the WTS/Anointed/GB speak for god.

Making Friends with Babylon the Great: Watchtower’s New Goal
by raymond frantz inhttps://youtu.be/iv_uifab-qg?si=ttnajiuizmtqlte9.
it began during the last annual meeting of 2014 and now is trikling down to their watchtower magazines, this new "live and let live" attitude towards people of other faiths, or as they were known as babylon the great soon to be dead in the hands of god members.but it is a new different story, so let's read paragraph 15 from study article 15:.
"jehovah is kind to both the righteous and the unrighteous.

raymond frantz, evidently they aren't speaking about elders meetings where they start shouting at each other and avoid each other outside that room. Many elder bodies like that over my 50 years. One congregation had 2 elders from another congregation come into "referee." Finally, the WTS made 2 congregations and put the fighting elders in opposite congregations. I even know of congregations that never exchanged speakers, why, because the elder arranging the schedule hated the other elder doing that in the other congregation. One finally died and suddenly after 10 years, speakers started being exchanged....I know many accounts like this. Few jws know what goes on behind closed doors. I remember one 2 where the elder body had taken a vote, where the then congregation overseer did not want the proposal and all the other elders voted for it. The congregation overseer got up at the next service meeting and announced the body had voted against the proposal. One elder stood up in that meeting and said the congregation overseer was lying. Guess who was invited not to be an elder any more. -

"Even though Christmas is not the real anniversary of our Lord's birth, but more properly the annunciation day or the date of his human begetting (Luke 1:28), nevertheless, since the celebration of our Lord's birth is not a matter of divine appointment or injunction, but merely a tribute of respect to him, it is not necessary for us to quibble particularly about the date. We may as well join with the civilized world in celebrating the grand event on the day which the majority celebrate - "Christmas day."" Zion's Watch Tower 1904 Dec 1 p.364

Black Sheep, can you post the hard to find quote in the April 2025 article?
