  the jws always like to highlight their persecution during the holocaust.

  while true, the chart below showing numbers of victims for jw was the lowest of all persecuted groups.

  even lower than spanish republicans.. im guessing there have been more victims due to the wt blood policy.

  The destruction of "Babylon the Great"

  i read the talk outline #49 for this summer's regional convention entitled "future events that will require courage-the destruction of babylon the great.".

  the jdubs live in a comic book world.

  babylon the great is all false religious organizations and she is destroyed by those she seeks to control.

  "Fall" and "destruction" are two separate events. Babylon the Great "fell" shortly after 1914 when it was exposed as not supporting God's Kingdom. Since then the "sea" of support for false religion has "dried up". And it will be "destroyed" in the future when the United Nations turns on the world empire of false religion and bans them. Does no one pay attention to the teaching these days?

  greetings, you hard workers:.

  i've had enough of speaking in generalities during my time as a jw evangelizer.

  while my own experience will offer up mere anecdotal examples at best, my contemporaries and i have found that kids today lack the earnestness and drive we older folks have had since youth: setting up a lemonade stand; doing yard work without power assist; mopping floors; running errands for a dime; cleaning parking lots, etc.

  hi folks, i’m heading off on a road trip of northern uk next week and, living in a very rural place, would be keen to take the opportunity to meet up with any ex-jws/current jws to compare notes on jw and post-jw life.. if anyone is available please pm me.. for the record i’m 18 months out of jw, was a ‘model jw child’ & longtime ms & reg pio.

  Memorial Attendance ???

  hi all, anybody any anecdotal or actual idea of how attendance numbers went this year ?.

  there are hints that it is well down, but is it ?

  and if it is, will the borg stop crowing about the attendance as they always have ?.

  Ot was the lowest I’ve seen, about 80 or so. But they add phone links to attendance these days. I don’t know when they started doing that.

  The map of ex Jehovah's-Witnesses and their friends

  i am an ex-jw and a member of this forum (not so active lately ;)).

  in poland, we created a map of ex-jws (and their friends ;)) to find former friends from the organization or to contact someone living close to them.

  many people found each other after many years outside of the organization thanks to this tool.

  There was such a map on this forum around 15 years ago. I wonder if it still exists.

  There seemed to be more participants then, but none from Poland that I recall. It's funny how things change.

  i see there has already been discussion over lloyd’s new book how to leave the jehovah's witnesses.

  this includes discussion around his personality, motives and financial gains.

  i have written a foreword for this book, because it is an important topic that has not been covered in such a complete format before.
